The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami Now 70% Reserved, Hosts Cocktail Celebration At Sugarcane

The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami is now 70% reserved and celebrated in style overlooking the building’s future site from SUGARCCANE raw bar grill. The exclusive cocktail event was hosted by developer Carlos Rosso, Urban Robot Associates’ Giancarlo Pietri and Naturalficial’s Andres Arcila, showcasing the energy, culture, community and style that The Standard brand is known for. The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami is the first true pied-à-terre-style project to be developed in Miami. The project is being developed by hospitality and real estate pioneers Standard International and Rosso Development, in collaboration with Midtown Development. The 12-story property blends culture, community and style with the world-class design, amenities and service that The Standard brand is known for–which to date has only been available at its hotels.

Located in the heart of Midtown, Miami’s most walkable neighborhood, the building is centrally positioned between The Design District and Wynwood and will feature 228 pied-à-terre-style residences ranging from studios to two bedrooms. The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami has tapped the industry’s best talent for this debut, including architecture by award-winning Arquitectonica, interiors by Urban Robot, and Naturalficial for landscape design.

In step with other Standard properties, residents will enjoy thoughtfully designed social spaces and amenities spanning 34,000 square feet across five floors including a lushly landscaped rooftop with a 60-foot, resort-style sunset pool, and signature rooftop restaurant and bar reminiscent of the vibe The Standard pioneered from LA to New York to London. The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami, kicked off Miami Art Week in style with an afternoon bayfront soiree at The Standard Spa Miami Beach, on the Venetian Islands. Hosted by The Standard International Executive Chairman, Amar Lalvani and Founder & CEO of Rosso Development, Carlos Rosso, the afternoon waterside soiree showcased a preview of the iconic hotel brand’s first ever residences, offering the opportunity to live The Standard’s distinctive lifestyle, which to date has only been available at its hotels. The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami re-imagines pied-à-terre-style living in South Florida’s most walkable neighborhood, featuring design by award-winning firms Arquitectonica and Urban Robot. The building will rise in the heart of Midtown Miami and blend culture, community and style with world-class design, amenities and service.

Hospitality and real estate pioneers Standard International and Rosso Development, in collaboration with Alex Vadia’s Midtown Development, launched sales of The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami and the project is already over 30% reserved in roughly a weeks time. The 12-story building is located will be located in the heart of Midtown Miam. It will feature 228 pied-à-terre-style residences ranging from studios to two bedrooms, all designed and finished with The Standard’s distinctive touch. In the “anything but Standard” fashion, the building will be the first property in the area to recognize the emerging Flexible Living movement, allowing owners to lease out their units for terms as short as one month.

The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami is designed by Arquitectonica and Urban Robot. The building’s façade draws inspiration from the urban enclave’s storied past while connecting with the new energy of the neighborhood. Residences will range in size from 432 square feet to 965 square feet and will express the ethos for which The Standard is known, meticulously designed interiors that provide that balance of style and functionality. Finishes include light wood plank tile flooring, gourmet kitchens with custom Italian cabinetry and Bosch appliances, while oversized bathrooms showcase stone vanities and double-suite rain showers.

The Standard Residences will be located at 3100 NE 1st Avenue, Miami, FL 33137. The project is set to break ground in 2022 with expected completion by mid-2023.

Inside The Miami Beach Market Update Panel Hosted By JDS & Douglas Elliman At Monad Terrace

Douglas Elliman and JDS Development hosted an in-depth panel discussion on July 26 exploring both developing and selling Monad Terrace as well as reviewing Miami Beach's current real estate market. The panel gave listeners insight from industry titans Jay Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman Florida and Michael Stern, founder and Managing Partner of JDS Development. The discussion was led by Lena Katz, a writer at Forbes and was hosted in the sales gallery at Monad Terrace. Parker and Stern explored the strength of the Miami Beach luxury real estate market and how there has been steady demand and still rising prices. The duo also discussed how the location of Monad Terrace allows residents to enjoy Miami Beach as a walking city, not needing to wait in heavy traffic during high times such as Art Basel and Miami Music Week. Stern also credited Jean Nouvel for the unique design of the building and how the highly amenitized project has had steady sales under the watchful eye of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. 

Residences at Monad Terrace range from two- to five-bedrooms and 1,453SF to 5,350 SF of interior space. Features include private elevator access, custom kitchens and bathrooms by Jean Nouvel and sprawling outdoor terraces. The building offers a true indoor-outdoor living experience, featuring climbing gardens and reflecting pools that complement the property’s central lagoon and ocean views. 

Construction on the project is well underway and is expected to be completed in fall 2019. The project's design, which was designed in collaboration with the Miami based Kobi Karp fuses environmental responsibility with innovative climate resilience features into the architecture, starting by elevating the building 11.5', well over Miami Beach standards.The tower is expected to go vertical in Spring 2018 and estimated to be completed in Fall 2019. Sales and marketing for Monad Terrace is managed exclusively by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.
