The Stantec-Designed YOTELPAD Miami Breaks Ground In Downtown Miami

The Stantec-Designed YOTELPAD Miami Breaks Ground In Downtown Miami

February 1, 2019

Aria Development and joint venture partner AQARAT real estate company have officially broken ground on YOTELPAD Miami, the 31-story Stantec-designed hotel/condo project in Downtown Miami. Stantec is providing not only the architecture and interior design but also engineering services for the 327,356 SF high-rise located at 227 NE 2nd Street. YOTELPAD Miami is scheduled for completion in early 2021.

“We are thrilled to render our unique integrated services at Miami’s first YOTEL brand,” said Adriana Jaegerman, senior principal in Stantec’s Miami office. “The building’s modern, stylish architecture and sophisticated interiors will make a bold design statement in Downtown Miami.”

The 31-story YOTELPAD Miami, which is a new brand by YOTEL and the first on the East Coast, will feature 222 Yotel-branded “cabins” (hotel rooms), 231 “PADs” (condominiums) and amenities such as a Skytop Lounge, pool deck with restaurant and bar, fitness center, co-working space and pet spa. The hotel portion is located on floors 2-12 with the condominiums on floors 15-30. Condominium owners and residents will have access to exclusive amenities such as a 2,000 SF “Lounge in the clouds” with game area and chef’s kitchen. The high-tech units include studios to one- and two-bedrooms and range in size from 417 SF to 708 SF with top-of-the-line flooring and lighting, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, custom European cabinetry and Smeg brand Italian appliances. The ground level will include separate lobbies for guests and residences, a restaurant, lounge, an organic matcha bar plus a co-working space, and meeting rooms on the second level. There is also smart lockers for package deliveries, as well as bike and individual storage units for residents on the premises.

“The building’s architecture consists of two distinct elements separated by a lush amenity deck on the 12th floor,” said Jennifer Llop-Noy, project manager with Stantec’s Miami office. “The bottom portion of the building features a simple, yet elegant geometric design for the hotel, while the top half of the structure boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies rising above the deck for the residences giving the overall composition a more dynamic look.”
