CitizenM Coming To 1212 Lincoln After Acquiring Hotel Piece From Crescent Heights
CitizenM is coming to South Beach after the Dutch hotel group purchased the hotel portion of Crescent Height’s 1212 Lincoln at the junction of Lincoln Road and Alton Road in South Beach. CitizenM paid $9 million for the 50 room hotel which is a part of the 1212 Lincoln mixed-use project which also includes over 70,000 SF of retail and 400 parking spaces.

CitizenM paid $9 million for the 50 room hotel which is a part of the 1212 Lincoln mixed-use project which also includes over 70,000 SF of retail and 400 parking spaces. PROFILEmiami first reported that Crescent Heights was looking to bring in CitizenM to the 1212 Lincoln project in September 2017. CitizenM also has two other hotel locations under construction in Miami including Brickell and Miami Worldcenter in Downtown.
1212 Lincoln was designed by Perkins + Will and Plaza Construction is the general contractor on the project. The hotel portion rises 12-stories and the project will also include a 5-story parking garage and a Wells Fargo Bank. Crescent Heights has proposed a rooftop movie theater which is being reviewed by the city. Newmark Knight Frank is overseeing leasing for the retail component of the project. Completion is expected by 2022.

Block H will feature 48,000 SF of retail and restaurants split between floors 1, 2 and 12 with 922 parking spaces filling the rest of the development.

Netherlands-based citizenM, the pioneer of affordable luxury hotels, has announced plans to open a 348-key hotel within Miami Worldcenter, one of the largest private mixed-use developments underway in the United States, occupying 27 acres in the heart of the Downtown Miami.
Netherlands-based citizenM, the pioneer of affordable luxury hotels, has announced plans to open a 348-key hotel within Miami Worldcenter, one of the largest private mixed-use developments underway in the United States, occupying 27 acres in the heart of the Downtown Miami. The announcement marks the third Miami hotel citizenM has proposed over the last 12 months. Earlier this summer, citizenM filed plans to build a 20-story, 252-room hotel in the city’s Brickell Financial District. In October of last year, the company also signed on to operate a 168-room hotel in Miami Beach. The award-winning hotel brand enters Miami market, adding to outposts in global cities including New York, London, Amsterdam and Paris.
The 12-story hotel, which will comprise 128,000 SF along NE 2nd Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets, will include a 10th floor sun deck featuring a swimming pool and rooftop bar, along with a state-of-the-art fitness center and gym on the 11th floor. It will be located adjacent to Miami Worldcenter’s pedestrian-only, open-air shopping promenade, which will be lined with world-class retail, restaurants, and entertainment options. The hotel will also feature 1,850 SF for societyM, the brand’s signature creative spaces and meeting rooms, and a cloudM rooftop bar offering views of Biscayne Bay and the downtown Miami skyline. Gensler Architects will be responsible for the hotel’s design.

CitizenM Hotels Continues Splash in Miami, Buys Perricone's Marketplace Site in Brickell

CitizenM continues to make a splash in Miami as they have purchased the Perricone's site via the entity CitizenM Miami Brickell Properties at 15 SE 10th St next to Allen Morris Park for $16.18 million.
Last week we reported that Crescent Heights is aiming to bring a CitizenM Hotel to 1212 Lincoln Road on Miami Beach. CitizenM continues to make a splash in Miami as they have purchased the Perricone's site via the entity CitizenM Miami Brickell Properties at 15 SE 10th St next to Allen Morris Park for $16.18 million. The development site is 10,965 SF and the deal reportedly includes a leaseback. It is also reported that Perricone's may open a new restaurant in the new hotel when completed. The hotel would further urbanize the fast-growing Brickell neighborhood which features Brickell Flatiron adjacent to the property, in addition to the new Brickell City Centre, Brickell Heights, SLS LUX (opening December 2017), amongst others.

The developer recently applied to the city for approval to modify the existing proposal by bumping the room count up to 168 from 100 by creating "pod" style rooms, some of which are under 218 SF. They also requested a variance to operate 2 LED billboards which would display graphics that are inspired by the murals that currently exist on the current building.
