Acclaimed Miami Sushi Outpost 'Midorie' Set To Open at The Arcadian in Fort Lauderdale in June 2026

February 17, 2026

Midorie, the casual Japanese restaurant known for sourcing fish daily from Tokyo's Toyosu market, will open its fourth location in June at The Arcadian in Fort Lauderdale's Sistrunk District. The restaurant joins as the first in Broward County with existing locations in Miami's Upper East Side and Coconut Grove, plus a West Palm Beach spot opening this spring.

Behind Midorie is APM Restaurant Group, the group who earned a Michelin star for his 12-seat Ogawa in 2024. APM is led by founder Alvaro Perez Miranda who the Japanese government named a Goodwill Ambassador for Japanese Cuisine in 2023, making him the first U.S. Latino to receive that honor.

The 50-seat location at The Arcadian will include an eight-seat sushi counter, a 34-seat dining room and The Sakura Room, a private space for up to eight guests. A 28-foot aluminum origami art piece will stretch from the entrance along the sushi counter, complemented by paintings from Venezuelan artist Rafael Rangel and custom Japanese lanterns.

The Arcadian, which celebrated its grand opening in January, is a mixed-use development that brings high-quality, attainable housing and commercial space to one of Fort Lauderdale's most historic neighborhoods. Developed by Fuse Group and KREA Developments, the project features two eight-story buildings with 502 units, including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom residences.

The development includes approximately 15,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space to support small businesses and entrepreneurs, plus a parking garage with 629 spaces. A total of 151 units are designated as high-quality attainable housing, including residences reserved for qualified tenants earning 100% to 120% of the area median income.

Developer Eyal Peretz, founder and CEO of Fuse Group, said Midorie fits the vision for the Sistrunk District. Opening hours and the full menu will be announced closer to the June opening.
