Cymbal Development and DLT Global have topped off Oasis Pointe Residences in Dania Beach, just 6 months after breaking ground on the project. Plaza Construction is the general contractor on the multi-unit waterfront apartment complex which set to open Spring 2022. Oasis Pointe Residences is part of Cymbal Development's $1 billion+ development pipeline slated for Broward County.

Cymbal Development, led by Asi Cymbal, and DLT Global, led by Hector Torres, were joined by elected officials and public servants including Broward County’s Vice Mayor Michael Udine, Dania Beach Mayor Tamara James, Vice Mayor Marco Salvino, Dania Beach City Commissioner Joyce Davis, former Mayor Bobbie Grace, former Commissioner Bill Harris, Development Director Eleanor Norena, Special Permitting Coordinator Tammie James, and the Executive Director at Dania Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Michael Chen.

To mark the occasion, the final piece of the structure was hoisted into place atop the highest point of the building accompanied by a small money tree from the property as confetti cannons were launched and a giant American flag waved in the background. After the ceremony, the tree was brought down safely to be replanted in the meditation garden at Oasis Pointe Residences.

A 2.4-acre waterfront complex, Oasis Pointe Residences will serve as the area’s first waterfront apartment building with 301 units, thoughtfully designed details, and exceptional indoor and outdoor amenities to create fresh-air havens of relaxation and retreat in a post COVID-19 world. The living spaces of the building will feature a mix of studios, one, two, and three-bedroom luxury apartments with open floor plans and modern features.

The residential design of the luxury indoor and outdoor living spaces responds to the timely demands for better natural ventilation, lighting, and fresh air quality while the amenities seek to enhance the mental and physical well-being of residents.

Inspired by the surrounding water and nature, key amenities and features of the eight-story building will include: butterfly and meditation gardens; a boat club; a waterfront boardwalk with a 19-slip marina; a Zoom lounge with private office suites and workstations; an outdoor lap pool; a fire pit with outdoor BBQ and picnic areas; a state-of-the-art, open-air fitness facility and yoga studio; an indoor lounge and game room; a dog park; and air purification, sterilization, and ionization systems that are 99% effective against COVID-19.

“We are grateful for this opportunity to build an amazing project in Dania Beach, on the water, and adjacent to the myriad of dining, shopping, and entertainment options of Dania Pointe. We are here to make a significant and positive impact on the community and on this great city. We love Broward County and are looking forward to completing our $1 billion development pipeline in Broward County!” said Asi Cymbal.

Located at 150 South Bryan Road in Dania Beach with easy access to I-95 and I-595, Oasis Pointe will be in close proximity to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades Cruise Port and the corporate headquarters of Spirit Airlines and Chewy. Financing was provided by Pacific Western Bank and Square Mile Capital. In its second recent multifamily project with both lenders and sixth overall transaction with the duo, PMG was represented internally by Andrew Warman, Lowell Plotkin and Jonathan Blank.

“We are thrilled to expand our relationship with these top lenders beside our partners at Greybrook to create a premier living and entertainment destination on the most prominent block in Wynwood,” said Ryan Shear, Managing Partner at PMG. “Miami and the Wynwood market are close to our hearts as a team of passionate locals. Since January 2021, Missoni Baia has completed over $110 million in condo sales, widely purchased by domestic buyers either buying second homes or looking to relocate to Miami completely.

Amenities at Missoni Baia will include an array of sporting and leisure activities that will integrate the comfort of a luxury resort with the ambiance of a private residence. Residents will enjoy five separate pools including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a cantilevered infinity pool with limitless views of Biscayne Bay, a lounge pool, whirlpool spa, and a children’s pool and splash pad area. The tower will also feature two poolside resident lounges, private cabanas, elevated tennis courts, one of the city’s largest and elegantly appointed spas with sauna/steam facilities and private massage treatment rooms. Additional perks include a state-of-the-art gym with 180-degree bay views, dedicated yoga and Pilates studios, a kids’ club and indoor play area, a hair and nail salon, a pet spa, and a private screening room. Residents will also receive exclusive membership access to the Grand Bay Club on the beachfront of Miami’s Key Biscayne.

Situated along the bayfront just north of Downtown Miami, nestled between the Venetian and Julia Tuttle Causeways,, the two main arteries connecting the City of Miami and Miami Beach, Edgewater has fast-emerged as the epicenter of the new Miami. The surrounding neighborhoods of Downtown’s Arts & Entertainment District, Miami Design District, Wynwood Arts District, Midtown Miami, and Miami Beach put residents within blocks of luxury retail shops, high-end restaurants and world-class arts and culture venues.

Missoni Baia is OKO Group and Cain International’s latest residential tower in Miami. The team has another two developments under construction nearby, including Una Residences, a 47-story luxury condominium on the waterfront in the City’s South Brickell District, and 830 Brickell, a class A-plus office tower in the heart of Downtown’s Brickell Financial District – both designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill. Construction has begun on the largest mixed-use development to take shape in Miami’s historic Overtown neighborhood in decades, paving the way for new shopping and dining options, affordable residences for seniors, and thousands of job opportunities. Sawyer’s Walk, a 1.4 million-square-foot development led by Swerdlow Group in collaboration with the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), will include 250,000 SF of destination retail alongside 578 apartments designated for low-income seniors.

Swerdlow Group and its partners, SJM Partners and Alben Duffie, acquired the 3.4-acre property at 249 NW 6th Street from the CRA and broke ground on the development at a June 23rd ceremony. Construction is expected to be completed in 2023.

“In working with the CRA and listening to nearby residents, it became clear that senior housing, affordable shopping options, and quality jobs are among the most pressing needs in Overtown,” said Swerdlow Group CEO Michael Swerdlow. “Sawyer’s Walk will check all of these boxes, while also creating a new destination for retail and dining that will activate city streets and attract people from throughout Downtown Miami and surrounding neighborhoods.”

The development of Sawyer’s Walk coincides with a rush of new residents, businesses and visitors into Miami’s urban core. Greater Downtown Miami is now home to 115,000 residents, 250,000 daytime visitors, and six million annual visitors, according to the Miami Downtown Development Authority.

Retail offerings at Sawyer’s Walk will include a 50,000 SF Target, a 25,000 SF Aldi supermarket, and new locations for Ross Dress for Less, Five Below, and Burlington. The unit mix will include studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms. Amenities will include a rooftop pool deck, a clubhouse and entertainment lounge, meeting rooms, and a complimentary health club membership for all residents.

“Sawyer’s Walk will be a triple-win for the Overtown community and the City of Miami, delivering a positive impact in the form of new jobs, additional revenue, and an affordable place to call home for hundreds of our local seniors. These benefits will help sustain quality of life in Miami while advancing the mission of the Southeast Overtown/Park West CRA,” said Jeffrey Watson, Chairman of the Southeast Overtown/Park West CRA.
