The Florida Panthers are back on home ice, ready to ignite the atmosphere in Amerant Bank Arena for Game 3 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. With the series tied 1-1, the teams are set for an epic showdown on Monday night at 8 PM ET.
South Florida is buzzing with excitement—cities across Broward County are gripped by “Red Reign,” as fans don their Panther gear with pride, eager to cheer on their team in pursuit of back-to-back championships. With their third consecutive trip to the Stanley Cup Final, the Fort Lauderdale DDA estimates that the Panthers prior two Stanley Cup runs alone generated more than $100 million in positive economic impact for Broward County, Fort Lauderdale and the South Florida region. Visit Lauderdale estimates the team has brought in an additional $30 million this 2025 postseason before the Panthers even drop the puck in a home game in the Stanley Cup Finals in Amerant Bank Arena.
The Panthers emerged on the national stage last season when they captured their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, defeating the same Oilers in an enthralling game 7. Now, as they make their third consecutive trip to the Stanley Cup Final, the fans are paying tribute to the team’s remarkable feat adding excitement to the Panthers’s resurgence beginning in the 2020-21 season. The Panthers’ success has been in a large part to owner Vincent Viola who purchased the team in 2013.
Florida has also now become an epicenter and hotbed for hockey with teams from Florida having reached the Stanley Cup and winning the Eastern Conference Final each of the past 6 years. The Florida Panthers in 2025, 2024 and 2023. The Tampa Bay Lighting in 2022, 2021 and 2020. The Lighting won back to back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021. The Panthers look to do the same in 2024 and 2025.
A Dramatic Start to the Series
The series began in Edmonton, where the Panthers faced a tight contest in Game 1, falling 4-3 after a heart-wrenching overtime loss. However, Game 2 proved to be a thrilling battle, with Brad Marchand netting the winning goal at 8:05 of the second overtime, sealing a 5-4 victory. This nail-biting come-from-behind win highlighted the Panthers' determination and ability to thrive under pressure, mirroring their playoff success in recent years.
As the Panthers prepare for Game 3, they will rely on their stars: Aleksander Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk, Carter Verhaeghe, and goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, among others, to lead the charge once again. The fortitude exhibited in Edmonton gives them momentum as they return to Sunrise, where they have been nothing short of spectacular all season.
Economic Boom for South Florida
The Panthers' success on the ice has not only reinvigorated local pride but also spawned a significant economic impact in Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding South Florida region. Following last year’s Stanley Cup Final, estimates indicated that four home playoff games generated an incredible $25 million in economic activity alone, and this year is expected to surpass that figure. In total the past three trips to the final have resulted in an estimated $100 million positive economic benefit to Broward County and the surrounding South Florida region. Visit Lauderdale estimates the team has brought in an additional $30 million this 2025 postseason before the Panthers drop the puck in a home game in the Stanley Cup Finals in Amerant Bank Arena.
As hockey fever sweeps South Florida, local establishments, including bars, restaurants, and hotels, are reaping the benefits. This year alone, estimates suggest an additional $30 million in revenue due directly to the Panthers' impressive playoff run. Hotels around the new IcePlex practice facility report occupancy rates soaring by 30-40%, while ticket resale prices for regular-season games at Amerant Bank Arena have skyrocketed by 46.7%.
The reverberating effects of the “Red Reign” can be felt throughout the local economy, with watch parties attracting thousands and tourism booming as hockey fans flock to the area. The revitalization of infrastructure surrounding the team’s practice rink, including public ice rinks, restaurants, and a concert venue, stands as a testament to the positive economic transformation.
The Panthers invested more than $65 million into the redevelopment of their 144,000 SF IcePlex as part of the revitalization of Holiday Park. The IcePlex serves as their official practice rink as well as recreational ice rinks and an entertainment venue. The facility has boosted youth hockey participation in South Florida and has brought the Panthers closer to the community.
Panthers' Journey and Future Prospects
The Florida Panthers, founded in 1993, have risen from years of playoff drought to become towering contenders in the NHL. Once struggling to secure victories in the postseason, the team has now transformed its fortunes, qualifying for the playoffs each year since the 2020-21 season and bolstering their legacy with consecutive Final appearances.
As the city enthusiastically prepares for Game 3, the hope for another historic championship run is palpable. The "Red Reign" is not just about hockey; it is about community, pride, and the economic revitalization of Fort Lauderdale. The fate of the coveted Stanley Cup remains fiercely uncertain, but one thing is clear: the Florida Panthers have united an entire region—a fitting narrative for a team that has found its identity in the heart of South Florida.
Join thousands of fans on Monday night at Amerant Bank Arena or at watch parties around town to witness history in the making as the Florida Panthers vie for a second consecutive championship.

With over 90 years of experience developing visionary design and timeless beauty, Pininfarina is best known for creating some of the most iconic sports cars and luxury automobiles in history, including classic models from Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls-Royce and many others. At Andare, Pininfarina has translated their expertise and impeccable taste to life in Las Olas, working closely with CFE Architects and Architectural Alliance Landscaping to create a cohesive design inspired by the area’s timeless energy and maritime roots. Andare is instantly recognizable by its distinctive façade, characterized by undulating wraparound balconies, which lend it a flowing, wave-like appearance.
Building upon its globally renowned design legacy, Pininfarina has carved a reputation as one of the leading studios for branded residences worldwide. The studio combines Italian sensibility with local relevance, crafting spaces that prioritize human experience, innovation and elegance. With a multidisciplinary team of architects, industrial designers and mobility experts, the firm brings a holistic approach to the built environment — merging architecture, interior and experience design into a unified expression of place and purpose.
At Andare, this multidimensional design philosophy manifests in a tower that is not only visually striking but also deeply intentional — blending lifestyle, art and technology to create a residential icon for the next generation of Fort Lauderdale living. The thoughtful approach to design is reflected in each of Andare’s residences, which range in size from 1,800 to over 4,300 square feet. Marrying estate and condo lifestyles, the residences feature open-concept living areas; floor-to-ceiling windows; gourmet kitchens with Italian cabinetry and Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances; sprawling spa-inspired bathrooms adorned with floor-to-ceiling tile, frameless glass showers, deep soaking tubs and Hansgrohe plumbing fixtures; the latest smart home technologies and more. Designed to promote indoor-outdoor living, oversized wraparound balconies extend each home’s footprint and overlook Fort Lauderdale’s majestic waterways and the Atlantic Ocean.
“At Pininfarina, we believe that elegance and performance together create timeless style. With Andare, we bring that philosophy to life on Las Olas — crafting a vertical narrative of flowing lines, luminous space and elevated well-being,” said Samuele Sordi, Chief Architect Officer at Pininfarina of America. “This tower is more than a residence: it’s an emotional journey shaped by beauty, community and purpose. We are proud to mark this milestone with Related Group, redefining the Fort Lauderdale skyline with a new icon of coastal sophistication.”
Residents of Andare will have access to over 35,000 square feet of amenities celebrating every facet of urban life. The 10th floor is home to a wide range of offerings that prioritize health and wellness, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a pickleball court and a wellness spa with dedicated salt, sauna, steam and massage rooms, and hot and cold plunge pools. The project’s design was inspired by the design of Rosemary Beach in Florida’s panhandle and will boast West Indies British Colonial design within its garden-like setting. Tenants will enjoy access to nearby conveniences such as a new Aldi Supermarket, Walgreens Pharmacy, SunTrust Bank, restaurants, and multiple entertainment venues.
LUXCOM designed the project with today's younger families and professionals in mind offering a clubhouse, resort-style pool and cabanas, theater room, state-of-the-art gym with yoga studio, private rooms for events and entertaining, children’s playroom, community dog parks, WiFi hotspots, car charging stations, garages, a citrus garden, and more.

Miramar Park of Commerce Sells For $18 Million At A Record Price Per Square Foot For Broward County
The Miramar Park of Commerce has sold for $18 million. The 56,072-square-foot industrial/flex building is located at 10315 USA Today Way in Miramar, Florida. At $321.02 per square foot, the transaction represents the highest price per square foot secured for an industrial/flex property in Broward County.
On behalf of the seller, Zeta Associates, LLC, Avison Young’s Industrial leasing team and Florida Capital Markets Group teamed up to complete the record-setting disposition to CRG Acquisition, LLC. The effort was led by Principals Tom Viscount, David Duckworth, Michael T. Fay, John C. Crotty, Wayne Schuchts, and Senior Associate Bobby Benton.
“The sale demonstrates both the resilience and attractiveness of the South Florida industrial market,” said Viscount. “Specifically, the significant price per square foot is indicative of the high demand for class A industrial and flex space, as investors continue to see South Florida as a key growth region. Due to the extraordinary demand and limited supply, less than 10 flex buildings over 50,000 square feet sold in the past year.”
The asset’s buyer is an investor who was attracted to Miramar Park of Commerce’s great location, well-maintained properties, and the prestige of the park. They plan to renovate the building to create a high-end educational campus-like setting to lease it to one of their national clients that operates a medical school.
“The buyer recognized the uniqueness and value of the building’s overall footprint and quality infrastructure sitting on seven acres, which cannot be replicated in today’s market,” added Viscount. “These factors certainly contributed to the notable sales price.”
Equidistant from Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Miramar Park of Commerce is a light industrial park campus in Southwest Broward County fronting the Florida Turnpike just one mile east of the Red Road Interchange. With over 5 million square feet of office/service, laboratory, pharmacy, light manufacturing, and distribution space, the world-class park is home to 10,000 employees from more than 170 national and international companies.
Bal Harbour Shops has unveiled its fully leased, 200,000-square-foot West Shops expansion, with 30 luxury boutiques and flagship stores and openings continuing through 2028.
