Naftali Group Debuts 'JEM in the Sky' as Art Basel Begins
Located atop the 50th floor, JEM Private Residences offers an expansive suite of amenities, including a 60-foot outdoor pool, indoor Sky Lounge, state-of-the-art fitness center, boxing arena, yoga patio, spa suite with steam, salt, and sauna rooms, along with a co-working space and spirits tasting room for refined social experiences.
Naftali Group kicked off Miami Art Week with an exclusive Art Basel preview on Tuesday, December 2, at the JEM Private Residences sales gallery in Miami Worldcenter, presenting the impressive new installation, “JEM in the Sky.” Guests were treated to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as they observed the installation’s craftsmanship up close and captured photos before its lift. As evening turned to night, the installation rose into the skyline, revealing Miami’s newest “Jewel in the Sky” and delivering a highlight of Miami Art Week. The experience previewed what JEM Private Residences aims to bring to the heart of downtown: a new benchmark for refined living grounded in beauty, craftsmanship and cultural presence.
The installation was on display every evening from December 2 to December 7, allowing residents and visitors throughout the week to experience the glowing landmark and its dialogue with the city around it.
Developed by Naftali Group, JEM Private Residences is the jewel of downtown Miami, located within Miami Worldcenter. The residential tower will rise over 700 feet tall and span 67 stories, defining itself as a focal point within the city. Naftali Group has brought together a world-class team of architectural and design talent, including Miami-based Arquitectonica and the internationally renowned Rockwell Group. Spanning from studios to four-bedroom options, JEM Private Residences is the epitome of luxury in South Florida, with residences beginning from the 43rd floor, to ensure all residents experience picturesque city views of downtown Miami.
The crowning jewel of the building will be the JEM Sky Villas with Interiors by FENDI Casa, a collection of luxury penthouses designed with signature FENDI Casa furnishings and designs.
Construction progress for JEM Private Residences is already underway. The project broke ground in April 2024, just under 6 months after bringing the project to market, which is atypical for the Miami real estate market. That momentum is reflected in the market as well, with sales moving at a strong pace, including the recent $8 million sale of Sky Villa 2 with Interiors by FENDI Casa. This move speaks to Naftali Group’s track record as a developer and underscores its confidence in the continued efforts to bring high-quality residential products to South Florida. The project is now rising past its sixth level and remains on track to be completed in Q4 of 2027.
As Naftali Group deepens its footprint across South Florida, the firm continues to expand beyond Miami with Viceroy Residences Fort Lauderdale. Ideally situated between Las Olas Boulevard and Flagler Village, Viceroy Residences Fort Lauderdale is the first Viceroy-branded luxury condominium in Fort Lauderdale and is set to redefine the South Florida residential scene with its hospitality-driven approach. With a collection of luxury residences and over 30,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed amenities and bespoke services, Viceroy Fort Lauderdale creates an unmatched urban oasis that sets a new standard for luxury living.

“Our goal with Calle Collective and Joule House was to honor the neighborhood’s character and individuality while creating a special amenity for both our residents and the wider community,” said Winston Fisher, Partner at Fisher Brothers. “Equally important was creating an opportunity for local artists to be part of the project, ensuring that the space reflects and uplifts the cultural fabric that inspires it.”
“I’ve been fighting for something like the Calle Collective for a long time,” adds artist Golden305.
Beyond the murals, Calle Collective integrates 26,000 square feet of retail space, designed to complement the artistic and social pulse of the neighborhood with future shopping, wellness, and dining concepts. It will also serve as a hub for community events and programming, creating new opportunities for connection and cultural exchange.
Home to Calle Collective, Joule House carries that same artistic spirit throughout, with creativity woven into every corner of the property. Rising eight stories, a desirable mix of floor plans include studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts, along with select two- and three-bedroom penthouses, ranging from 474 to 1,405 square feet. Interiors by ID & Design International (IDDI) feature neutral tones, bold accents and contemporary finishes that reflect the essence of the locale. Spanning 23,000 square feet, Rockwell Group masterfully designed a collection of indoor and outdoor amenities spread across three floors, merging wellness, convenience, and entertainment. Named after the unit of measurement for energy, Joule House embodies the dynamism and pulse of Wynwood itself. LOFTY Brickell Commissions Two More Artists For Its Rare NFT Collective To Be Gifted To Buyers At Closing
Forward-thinking real estate developer Newgard Development Group has commissioned two additional artists to create one-of-a-kind NFT pieces for its LOFTY Brickell condominium project. Newgard is integrating digital art into the DNA of the new residential building while transferring ownership of a custom NFT to each unit owner.
The NFT Collective launched in March 2022 with Miami-based multi-disciplinary artist Carlos Betancourt, who is creating a unique digital art piece for buyers of studio and one-bedroom units. The two new Miami artists—Douglas Hoekzema, known professionally as HOXXOH, and E-uphoria by Alessia Moccia, will create NFTs for buyers of two-bedroom units and penthouse residences, respectively. Newgard partnered with the New York-based art consulting group Indiewalls to curate the artists.
“This is the first time we know of where a condominium will display a commissioned NFT collection throughout the entire building, and the first-time owners will receive a unique digital art piece when they purchase their units,” said Newgard CEO Harvey Hernandez. “Each piece is inspired by Miami’s history, diversity and incredible energy, taking you into an immersive experience of time, culture, lifestyle and awakening of the city.”
HOXXOH’s artwork focuses on the relationship between man and time, depicting time as a sweet ride that flows, mixing spontaneously with precision. His work is ever-evolving in style, emphasizing mark-making and color to give life to fluid painterly shapes and patterns embedded in a philosophical approach. Through repetitions and analyses, he has managed to recreate the characteristic harmony of contingency, revealing the aesthetic qualities of controlled chaos.
He has created a piece called Blue Fountain for the LOFTY buyers.
“It is fascinating to see how the NFT marketplace helps artists find their own lane through digital art,” said HOXXOH. “As Lofty Brickell launches a limited collection of elevated residences through a collective of globally renowned designers, architects, and artists, I can’t help but find a certain symbiosis with our collaboration on the upcoming exclusive NFT release.”
E-uphoria by Alessia Moccia is one of a growing number of female street photographers making a name for themselves. Also, an NFT collector, she brings a unique perspective to the genre with her dreamlike and distinct imagery. She takes the ordinary and turns it into the extraordinary, infusing her compositions with galaxies, moons and planets to create surreal and captivating scenes.
Her NFT art piece for penthouse buyers is called Rest in Glow.
"Integrating NFT art into a luxury building is like adding a touch of enchantment to elevate the experience of living to a whole new level. It's a beautiful way to capture the essence of art and technology, and create a truly mesmerizing living space,” Moccia said.
Originally from Rome, Moccia now spends her time between Miami and New York. She won an Honorable Mention at the 2022 International Photography Awards.
LOFTY is a 44-story waterfront luxury condominium high-rise under development on the Miami River in the heart of Miami’s financial district. It is the most elevated offering in Newgard’s flexible ownership concept. At over 92% sold, LOFTY is already one of the Miami condo market’s most successful projects under development.
Designed by Arquitectonica, the 362-unit LOFTY features 309 tower residences including studio, one- and two-bedroom units that will be furnished by INC. They sit alongside 40,000 square feet of thoughtfully curated amenities, including a private marina, a members-only social club, resort pool deck and fitness center, indoor cigar lounge, co-working lounge and meeting rooms.
With tower units sold out, just a few residences in the LOFTY Signature Penthouse Collection remain available for purchase. The Signature Penthouse Collection offers spacious two, three, and three-bedroom plus den residences that will be curated and furnished by revered design firm Artefacto. Starting at $2.2 million, they represent the best value in penthouse homes in the Brickell submarket.
Located across from Brickell City Centre, LOFTY is the next evolution of condominium ownership. It brings a 5-star alternative for the owner and traveler who prefers to stay and own differently – yet does not want to compromise on hotel services and amenities. Each residence will be delivered fully finished and furnished and, with professional management, will permit short-term rentals.
Cervera Real Estate serves as the exclusive sales and marketing partner for LOFTY Brickell.
LOFTY Brickell is located at 99 SW Seventh St., Miami, FL 33130. For more information and updates, visit www.LoftyBrickell.com.

‘Let The Mermaids Flirt with Me’ (2022), a presentation of a new suite of stained-glass paintings in lightboxes by Christopher Myers, installed within a freestanding octagonal structure evoking a chapel. Exploring the relationships between Black bodies, diaspora, and the ocean, this deeply poetic work will be activated by a performance, animating the figures depicted in the glass. Presented by James Cohan Gallery.
Devan Shimoyama’s ‘The Grove’ (2021), which monumentalizes the common sight of shoes joined at the laces and dangling from utility wires to evidence both presumed gang territory or violence and moments of celebration and play. Presented by Kavi Gupta.
‘Columbus Day’ (2019-2020) Hock E Aye Vi Edgar Heap of Birds, which consists of 24 primary ink mono prints and 24 ‘ghost prints’, which are the secondary pull of the print plates and represent how Indigenous communities are often viewed– namely, as "not there," faded and having disappeared. The text of the prints highlights the destruction of these communities and their lands by Columbus and consequences through the present day. Presented by K Art.
‘Birth’ (1984), a monumentally scaled, hand-crocheted wall-hanging by pioneering feminist artist Judy Chicago and the largest of her seminal Birth Project (1980-1985) works. ‘Birth Project’ was an international collaboration of female needleworkers and responded to the absence ofimagery related to birthing as one of the most foundational female experiences. Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road District, one of the country’s most beloved destinations for al fresco shopping, dining, and entertainment, has supercharged its arts and culture experience by showcasing 12 giant, electrifying sculptures by renowned French artist Richard Orlinski. The open-air activation coming to Lincoln Road this winter will feature iconic pieces from Orlinski’s recent Avenue des Champs Elysée exhibition in Paris. Timed with the premier art show of the Americas, Art Basel Miami Beach, the exhibit will run from November 2022 to March 2023.
Driven by the desire to make art accessible to the masses, Orlinski exhibits his work, often of spectacular dimensions, in the great outdoors. As he redefined contemporary art codes, elements in nature became his signature and forte. Known for his iconic bright red resin crocodile, Orlinski’s work is inspired by pop culture artists such as Jeff Koons and Robert Indiana, and uses industrial materials to develop large geometric sculptures that symbolize freedom, power, and passion.
“Dedicated to bringing one-of-a-kind artistic experiences to the Lincoln Road District, we are thrilled to bring Orlinski’s esteemed outdoor exhibit of colorful, eye-popping sculptures from Paris to Lincoln Road,” said Mindy Mcllroy, Vice President of the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District (BID), and President of Terranova Corporation. “We are continuously investing in public art installations and cultural programming to ensure Lincoln Road remains a place where locals and visitors can enjoy enriching cultural experiences.”
From the majestic pink lion that will be showcased across the Apple Store to the red crocodile near the Nike Store and the standing white bear on Washington Avenue, the community will encounter bright, life-size animal statues while strolling the pedestrian promenade. Wild Kong, a signature piece from the Champs Elysée exhibition, will be located on Michigan Ave across from Finnegan’s Road. The sculptures are crossing the seas and coming from France. During the exhibit, the artist will also open a pop-up store at 801 Lincoln Road.
As the cultural and civic hub for the community, the Lincoln Road District has also partnered with AEA Consulting, a global firm setting the standard in strategy and planning for the cultural and creative industries, to further activate the district with collaborations that advance and promote arts and culture. With activations from Abu Dhabi to New York and London, AEA has engaged with the American Symphony Orchestra, Perez Art Museum, and Brooklyn Bridge Park, among others, delivering more than 1,200 assignments in 42 countries.
“Partnering with AEA Consulting to realize vital arts and culture projects will help further enhance our offerings in the Lincoln Road District, providing residents and visitors with year-round programming that bolsters their quality of life,” said Lyle Stern, President of the Lincoln Road BID and President of Koniver Stern Group. “From activating Lincoln Road with spectacular sculptures by famed artist Orlinksi to ushering in the South Beach Jazz Festival and a series of memorable musical performances by Nu Deco Ensemble, we are expanding the district’s cultural programming that will keep residents and visitors returning to Lincoln Road.”
The Lincoln Road District is one of Miami’s premier retail, lifestyle and cultural destination that is home to more than 250 restaurants and shops, entertainment, arts and cultural offerings. Lincoln Road ranks as the most-visited open-air destination in South Florida with over 8 million visits in 2021, according to Placer.ai data and featured in AFAR as one of the 10 best pedestrian streets around the world.
