Oscar Piastri won the thrilling FORMULA 1® CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025, extending his championship lead over McLaren teammate Lando Norris, who finished second after a fierce battle. Although Norris qualified second, he lost ground early on when he tangled with pole-sitter Max Verstappen of Oracle Red Bull Racing, dropping to sixth. Piastri capitalized on the chaos, building a crucial 9-second lead while battling Verstappen for position. Norris closed in during the race's final laps but finished 4.6 seconds behind Piastri, who has now won four of the first six races and leads Norris by 16 points in the standings. George Russell of Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 completed the podium in third, while Verstappen finished fourth after a frustrating race marred by difficulties during pit stops.
The Trophy for the winning driver of the FORMULA 1® CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025 was awarded to Oscar Piastri, McLaren driver, presented in its Bespoke Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk. This rounds off the sixth race of the season within the Official Partnership between Louis Vuitton and Formula 1®, and the seventh Trophy Trunk of the season to be presented.
The Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, specially designed to protect and showcase the trophy of the FORMULA 1® CRYPTO.COM GRAND PRIX 2025, was present at several key moments that reinforced craftsmanship, savoir-faire and innovative design: on the starting grid, during the national anthem sequence, and on the podium during the trophy presentation to Oscar Piastri.
Louis Vuitton also presented the dynamic Louis Vuitton signature with a revamped graphic Louis Vuitton logo specifically designed for the Official Partnership between Formula 1® and the House across Miami's on-track signage. The custom Louis Vuitton logo design evokes a sense of speed and heat effects, drawing a parallel with the high velocity of Formula 1® racing.

The Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2023 Set To Return To The Miami International Autodrome This Weekend
With just days to go before the start of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2023 organizers are gearing-up for another spectacular weekend of action both on and off the race track. The 3.36-mile Miami International Autodrome is set to roar into life over the weekend of May 5-7, 2023 as it hosts round five of this year’s FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
Twelve months ago, Max Verstappen won the inaugural race in Miami for Oracle Red Bull Racing after a thrilling duel with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. With the reigning world champion and his team currently leading the 2023 points standings, the Dutchman will be among the favorites to triumph again on the 19-turn Miami International Autodrome next week. As well as welcoming South Florida’s very own Logan Sargeant to the grid, fans will have plenty to look forward to when the 10 F1 teams and 20 drivers descend on the vibrant city of Miami after making the 6,800-mile trip from Baku — the location for the previous race — held just days before the action begins in Miami Gardens.
New for this year, the Formula 1® paddock will be located in the center of Hard Rock Stadium and organizers have been working around-the-clock to prepare the venue, transforming the football field to the home of the Miami Open presented by Itaú., and then quickly to the Formula 1® Team Village – all in four months’ time. There are a number of other developments for 2023 and new features for the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2023 including a brand-new permanent Paddock Club has been constructed above the garages on pit lane. It features a rooftop viewing deck which extends into Hard Rock Stadium. The new three-tier facility houses 6,000 guests and offers amazing views of the final sequence of corners and the start/finish straight.
One of the largest investments made since the inaugural race is the repaving of the track, which was made with the intent to provide best-in-class racing. In conjunction with circuit architects Tilke and based on feedback from the drivers’ council, teams, Formula 1 and the FIA, the entire 3.36-mile course has been re-paved while minor alterations have been made to the Turn 14/15 chicane.
Fans will be able to view the track action from new hospitality spaces, including The Vista at Turn 1 and The Boathouse at MIA Marina, which will offer premium experiences for guests to choose from while still reflecting the culture of Miami. One of the most popular areas on the Campus last year was Hard Rock Beach Club. This luxury space has been enhanced for this year, with more cabana-style seating and entertainment acts already confirmed including superstars Jonas Brothers and Wisin y Yandel headlining Saturday and DJ Tiësto and Cederic Gervais performing on race day. In addition, the world’s first bilingual, Latin girl-group Bella Dose will perform on the track ahead of the race start.
Around the venue, grandstand capacity has been increased to over 55,000 with elevated viewing platforms on Trackside Lane between Turns 8 and 10, an expanded F1 Fan Zone, plus more shaded seating and water stations throughout the Campus. In addition, all pedestrian bridges have been doubled – and in some cases quadrupled – in width to allow for improved flow of traffic so fans can better access all the Campus has to offer.
In further developments, there will be a new area in the Campus known as Race Street, where spectators will be able to view luxury car displays, street art by local artists, listen to music and experience the best food and beverage offering that showcase Miami. Returning in 2023 will be a number of luxury spaces that offer world-class hospitality. They include the exclusive, invite-only Palm Club plus the 72 Club presented by J.P. Morgan Payments. Other premium spaces include the Casa Tua Trackside Club, a soulful intimate atmosphere with traditional Italian cuisine catered by one of Miami’s most prestigious restaurants.
Award-winning chefs Michelle Bernstein, Brad Kilgore and Lorena Garcia amongst others, will once again bring their exquisite culinary offerings to the race track. James Beard Foundation Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein is set to offer an eclectic menu fusing Old-World favorites with contemporary techniques and innovative flavor profiles at the luxury Yacht Club hospitality and MIA Marina general admission areas. Award-winning Chef Brad Kilgore will be serving up his incredible range of progressive American cuisine which will highlight local Floridian ingredients and flavors in the 1 North Suites.
Native Floridian David Grutman and Groot Hospitality, the brand behind Strawberry Moon, Papi Steak, Komodo, Swan, LIV, Story and The Key Club, will return this year to partner with 72 Club presented by J.P. Morgan Payments on the Miami International Autodrome Campus and will serve a delicious selection of signature items from its many restaurants, including Peking Duck, Chips & Caviar, Wagyu Pastrami and more.
Major Food Group (MFG), one of the most celebrated companies in the hospitality business behind names such as CARBONE, The Grill, Dirty French, ZZ’s Club and Sadelle’s, will operate the food, beverage and hospitality for the iconic Palm Club.
One of the most unique locations at the Miami International Autodrome is the soulful, meticulously curated hospitality lounge at the Casa Tua Trackside Club. With its elegant design, traditional Italian cuisine and impeccable service, this one-of-a-kind experience is located at Turn 1, perfectly positioned at pit-exit and offers trackside views of the action in the surroundings of an exclusive club.
“We’ve been working flat-out preparing for our second race and are excited to welcome back Formula 1, the FIA, the teams, drivers, our guests and the fans to experience another brilliant weekend of on-track action,” said Tyler Epp, President of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX. “From our incredible new Paddock Club building to the Team Village in Hard Rock Stadium, the enhanced hospitality spaces, food and beverage offerings, and the many changes around campus, I’m proud that our race allows us to showcase so much of Miami’s culture, putting us at the intersection of sports and entertainment. At the heart of it all is world-class racing, and we can’t wait for Miami to be in the spotlight as Formula 1 arrives in America for the first time this year.”
As last year, the community remains at the heart of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX. The 2022 event delivered a boost of $350 million to the local economy in both Miami Gardens and the wider South Florida and Greater Miami region. And this year organizers are continuing their F1 in Schools program to help inspire education in science, technology and innovation. In addition 23 interns are undertaking a 12-week paid program across a variety of departments including event operations, guest experience and marketing. Also part of the food offering includes 14 minority-owned restaurants from Miami Gardens providing the outlets to showcase their business during race week.

In anticipation of Formula 1’s first ever Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum teamed up with Aston Martin Red Bull Racing to welcome the sport to Miami in style with a one-of-a-kind stunt.
In anticipation of Formula 1’s first ever Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum teamed up with Aston Martin Red Bull Racing to welcome the sport to Miami in style with a one-of-a-kind stunt. Ahead of this weekends US Grand Prix and Formula 1 Fan Festival in Miami, residents in Downtown Miami were greeted with engine roars, helicopters and tire screeching in the early morning of Tuesday as Red Bull ambassador and 13-time grand prix winner David Coulthard performed a shocking, smoking series of donuts atop the 62-story One Thousand Museum’s helipad, the only private residential helipad on the east coast.
One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects is on track for delivery in 2019. The building is Zaha Hadid's first residential skyscraper in the western hemisphere and is being developed by Louis Birdman, Gregg Covin, Kevin Venger and the Regalia Group with Plaza Construction as the general contractor. One Thousand Museum's design features an exoskeleton design which acts as the buildings structural support. This allows the developer to remove columns from the units, creating expansive glass views of Biscayne Bay. The tower will feature only 83 units ranging from $5.5 million to over $20 million and 4,600 SF to over 10,000 SF. Amenities will include Miami's only private rooftop helipad, state-of-the-art fitness center, spa, two pools, indoor aquatic center, and a sky lounge.

Some Outraged Downtown Residents Have Made A Move Against The City of Miami For Ultra & Formula 1 Proposal
Not everyone can always be happy, no sooner then Miami had made strides on the world stage to host the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix in the streets of Downtown Miami, had a group of 11 residents moved against the city. Some Downtown Miami residents have teamed up and sought legal council combatting the city.
Not everyone can always be happy, no sooner then Miami had made strides on the world stage to host the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix in the streets of Downtown Miami, had a group of 11 residents moved against the city. Some Downtown Miami residents have teamed up and sought legal council combatting the city hosting Ultra Music Festival in Downtown's Bayfront Park and the city's bid to bring a Formula 1 race to the streets of Downtown and PortMiami as early as October 2019. The residents, who live in 50 Biscayne and Epic, have sent a Cease and Desist letter to the city. The proposed 2.57-mile course would run through Downtown Miami's Biscayne Boulevard, American Airlines Arena and PortMiami. The letter alleges that both the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and "mega events" such as Ultra Music Festival and Rolling Loud Festival, all violate the City of Miami's noise ordinance, which in turn negatively affects the health of nearby residents and their property values.
Ultra Music Festival has garnered much attention for the city of Miami, helping aid to boost property values and tourism. If looking at cities such as Monaco, property values on the race course have been boosted by popularity and a condo-hotel such as Epic benefits greatly from major events in near proximity. The noise ordinance clause has been used against other Downtown venues including the nightclubs behind Marquis Residences, Ten Museum, One Thousand Musuem, 900 Biscayne and Marina Blue. The difference between the two cases is one targets events which bring millions of dollars of benefit to the city and its taxpayers, typically operating during the day, while the clubs in question operate at late night hours with resident complaints coming between the hours of 2 am and 6 am with private prosperity.
Ultra Music Festival was sold out in 2018 with a record-breaking attendance of 165,000 and over 30 million online streams. Ultra Music Festival is renegotiating their lease for hosting the festival in Bayfront Park, with Miami commissioners asking for rent to rise to $2 million. Ultra Music Festival currently pays around $1 million annually to host the festival at the site. Formula 1 does not yet have a deal in place, although city commissioners approved the race in a unanimous 5-0 vote in May 2018. Formula One has 500 million global fans and currently hosts 21 races across five continents which are broadcast to over 1.8 billion viewers. Hosting a Formula 1 Grand Prix's economic impact on Montreal is around $65 million and Formula 1 claims the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix could produce over $700 million annually for the city. Set-up time could take up to 3 months while clean up would take 2-3 weeks. The city expects to be sued over the matter.
Formula One Is Coming To Downtown Miami In 2019 After City Commissioners Vote Unanimously
Last week the Miami City Commission voted 5-0 to bring a Formula One Grand Prix to Downtown Miami. Set to be part of Formula One's 2019 schedule, most likely in October, and will give the circuit a second event in the United States.
Last week the Miami City Commission voted 5-0 to bring a Formula One Grand Prix to Downtown Miami. Set to be part of Formula One's 2019 schedule, most likely in October, and will give the circuit a second event in the United States. The vote approved Resolution No. 22, which approves bringing a Formula One race to the city, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, from 2019 through 2028. The 2.57-mile course will run through Downtown Miami's Biscayne Boulevard, American Airlines Arena and PortMiami; although 4-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, who is ecstatic about the race coming to Miami, has said that he would like to see changes to the proposed track. Promotions will be handled by Related Companies' and Miami Dolphins' owner Stephen M. Ross via his Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE).
The approval of Formula One to come to Miami will bring a major, positive economic impact to the city. Formula One has 500 million global fans and currently hosts 21 races across five continents which are broadcast to over 1.8 billion viewers. The U.S. Grand Prix, which takes place in Austin, has attracted over 200,000 visitors to the city during race weekends. Adding races in the United States has been a goal of Liberty Media Corp. who acquired Formula One in 2016 for $1.1 billion in cash, 138 million Liberty Media shares and $351 million worth of an exchangeable debt instrument, issued by Formula One, which can be exchanged for shares of Liberty Media. Liberty Media also assumed $4.1 billion in Formula One's current debt. Liberty Media is also aiming to host races in the Las Vegas and New York markets which should further bolster the sports' fast growing popularity in the U.S.
Mast Capital and BH Group have announced Raffles Residences Coconut Grove, the brand’s first standalone residential development, with 35 homes from $4.5 million and architecture by Brandon Haw.
