One Thousand Group and Minor Hotels Announce First Anantara Miami Resort & Residences In The U.S. At KPF-Designed Tower in Edgewater
One Thousand Group, the Miami-based development team behind the city’s most iconic residential towers, together with Minor Hotels, the Bangkok-based luxury resort owner and operator of over 630 properties across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Indian Ocean and the Middle East, have announced Anantara Miami Resort & Residences, marking the Anantara brand’s highly anticipated debut in the United States.
Inspired by Anantara’s origins along the tranquil beaches of Thailand, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will draw on centuries-old Thai traditions to present a new sanctuary at the convergence of Miami’s Edgewater, Design District and Wynwood neighborhoods, a waterfront enclave in the heart of the city.
The planned 50-story tower will feature 100 private branded condominium residences and 120 resort residences allowing owners to make their residences available to hotel guests, 50 five-star boutique hotel suites and a collection of unprecedented vitality and longevity amenities that will bring the principles of ancient healing and modern longevity into Miami’s urban landscape for the first time. Rising 650 feet above Biscayne Bay, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will command unprecedented waterfront views and is expected to open in 2030.
“Anantara Miami Resort & Residences introduces something entirely new to the U.S.,” said Kevin Venger, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group. “It’s not just another branded residence, but a fully realized concept that blends hospitality, private ownership and longevity into one unified experience. Here, we’re able to deliver a fully layered holistic lifestyle that reflects how people are choosing to live today.”
With a development vision conceived by One Thousand Group, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences is backed by the credibility and market expertise a project of this caliber demands. One Thousand Group is a leading Miami development firm known for redefining the Miami skyline and urban high-rise living with buildings like One Thousand Museum – the final residential project designed by the late Zaha Hadid, which drew elite buyers across finance, entertainment and professional sports – and Villa Miami, a partnership with Major Food Group that is currently under construction. The firm identified Anantara as the foremost longevity brand today and led the collaboration to bring the concept to Miami.
“True luxury is time, the freedom to pause, to explore, and to experience the world more deeply,” said William E Heinecke, Founder and Chairman of Minor International, owning company of Minor Hotels. “Miami is the perfect location for the debut of our luxury Anantara brand into the U.S., and we are excited to partner with One Thousand Group to bring this vision to reality.”
As the first U.S. location for the 25-year-old brand, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will invite American audiences to discover its distinct approach to hospitality. Anantara, meaning “without end” in Sanskrit, is known for properties steeped in natural beauty, immersed in the world's most refined approach on healing and vitality. The resorts are found in the most captivating locations around the world – from vibrant cities and vast deserts, to lush jungles and palm-fringed beaches – and the new Miami location will join a collection of more than 50 properties in destinations like the Maldives, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mozambique, Austria, France, Italy, Spain and beyond. This breadth also reflects the extraordinary portfolio of Anantara’s parent company, Minor Hotels, which is best known in the U.S. for its Koh Samui owned properties in Thailand that served as the setting for Season 3 of HBO’s “The White Lotus.”
“Our approach has always been to anticipate where the market is going and develop buildings that don’t yet exist in Miami,” said Michael Konig, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group. “With Anantara, we saw an opportunity to bring a globally respected brand into a market that is ready for something more meaningful and experience driven.”
One Thousand Group is also celebrated for creating innovative design and amenity offerings that quickly become essential in new development. For example, each of their projects includes a private rooftop helipad, a rare but forward-thinking feature attractive to ultra-high-net-worth buyers who value privacy and connectivity. Anantara Miami Resort & Residences builds on this track record, incorporating a helipad alongside a new layer of hospitality-driven experiences shaped by Anantara’s Thai-inspired approach to service, wellness and cultural immersion– offerings that have not previously been introduced in the city.
“We are focused on delivering our signature experiences and amenities, while seamlessly incorporating the authentic offerings of the brands we partner with,” said Louis Birdman, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group. “The result is a development that feels both uniquely ours and true to the brand’s heritage.”
Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will bring together an internationally recognized design team whose work reflects both Anantara’s heritage and Miami’s cosmopolitan character. Architecture by the acclaimed firm Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) and ODP Architecture & Design (ODP) will modernize the skyline with a design that is distinctly Miami, including subtle Thailand-inspired cues that capture the essence of the Anantara brand. KPF has designed some of the world’s most recognized and transformative skyscrapers, including One Vanderbilt in New York, Lotte World Tower in Seoul, one of the tallest buildings in the world and 18 Robinson, a sleek award-winning statement building in Singapore, along with ODP who collaborated with the developer on the designs of One Thousand Museum and Villa Miami. The interiors of the building will represent the first residential project in the U.S. designed by Patricia Urquiola, the celebrated talent known for shaping contemporary hospitality, another superlative milestone raising the global cachet of the new resort and residences.
Guided by the brand’s core values of authenticity and immersion, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences is designed to tap into the growing desire for an urban sanctuary. The building itself has been thoughtfully layered, with the hotel comprising the first three tower floors and the resort residences and private condominiums positioned above. Wellness programming will be anchored across the podium levels, including hotel and condominium-specific amenities and a dedicated vitality center focused on movement, nutrition and recovery. Curated rituals and meaningful moments will create a deep sense of discovery, while award-winning expertise in holistic and indigenous healing practices will restore the balance of daily life. The cherished custom of ‘nam jai’ – translating to ‘water from the heart,’ a Thai cultural concept representing genuine, selfless kindness, generosity and hospitality performed without the expectation of reward – will inspire the experience and underscore the project’s commitment to delivering an enriched lifestyle.
Located at the convergence of Miami’s Edgewater, Design District and Wynwood neighborhoods, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences marks a defining gateway into the city’s waterfront high-rise district, distinguished as the first tower in the area with unobstructed northern views over Biscayne Bay. With a highly walkable setting, the property offers seamless access to the city’s leading restaurants, galleries, boutiques and cultural institutions, including Pérez Art Museum, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
Sales are expected to launch to the public later this year, with the developer selecting ONE Sotheby’s International Realty as the exclusive sales team for the project.

PROFILEmiami hosted its third annual PROFILE Design Summit 2026 at Atrium at Trackside in partnership with Sexy Bedding and Eclectic Elements, bringing together South Florida’s leading architects, developers, designers, builders, and industry professionals for an evening of elevated dialogue and bespoke networking focused on the future of design and development.
Building on PROFILEmiami’s legacy of industry-leading real estate forums, the Design Summit continues to serve as a premier platform for exploring the evolving intersection of architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and the economics of development across South Florida’s luxury residential and commercial markets.
The evening began with an immersive Design Showcase, featuring a curated selection of top-tier brands, firms, and service providers shaping the region’s most prestigious developments. Attendees engaged with leaders across the design and construction ecosystem, including Edge House, Hegra, LUC Electric, Sexy Bedding, Ero Lighting, IVEY Design Build, IVEY Punch, Cetta Group, Samaan Design Group, and Eclectic Elements, among others.
The showcase highlighted the full spectrum of ultra-luxury development—from architecture and interiors to custom kitchens, millwork, lighting, smart-home technology, wellness systems, and advanced security solutions—offering a comprehensive look at the innovation driving South Florida’s design-forward growth.
Following the initial bespoke networking period guests sat down to listen to two engaging panels led by PROFILEmiami Co-Founder Demetri Demascus. The first panel, Designing for Luxury & Longevity, explored a powerful shift in the definition of luxury—moving beyond aesthetics to focus on human longevity, wellness, and long-term livability. Panelists included Ralph Choeff (Choeff Levy Fischman), Mikael Hamaoui (Riviera Horizons / Pagani Residences Miami), Tatiana Sheveleva (CHAPI Design), Kathy Samaan (Samaan Design Group), Monica Suleski (Eclectic Elements / Sexy Bedding), and Michael Cetta (Cetta Group). A central theme emerged early in the discussion: wellness is no longer an amenity—it is the foundation of modern luxury.
The second panel, Architecture, Landscape Design & the Economics of Development, shifted focus to the intersection of design and economics, examining how architecture, landscape design, and execution directly impact value creation, market performance, and long-term returns. Panelists included Michael Konig (One Thousand Group), Alejandro Acebal (Aceball Canney Arquitectos & Asociados), Ralph Choeff (Choeff Levy Fischman), Andres Arcila (Naturalficial, Inc.), Kirk Ivy (IVEY Punch / IVEY Design Build), and Ronald Bloomberg (Atrium at Trackside). The discussion opened with a key question: whether architecture should be viewed as a cost center or a primary driver of value. Panelists widely agreed that in today’s competitive market, design excellence is a critical differentiator, influencing everything from absorption rates to long-term asset performance.
Following the panel discussions, guests returned to the Design Showcase for continued bespoke networking and cocktails in a relaxed yet elevated setting, fostering meaningful connections across the development, design, and construction community.
The PROFILE Design Summit 2026 once again demonstrated PROFILEmiami’s role as a leading platform for convening the professionals shaping South Florida’s built environment. By bringing together leaders across disciplines, the event highlighted a defining shift in the market: Luxury is no longer defined solely by appearance—it is measured by performance, experience, and the ability of a space to support long-term health, well-being, and value.

Panel 1: Designing for Luxury & Longevity
The first panel, moderated by Demetri Demascus of PROFILEmiami, explored a powerful shift in the definition of luxury—moving beyond aesthetics to focus on human longevity, wellness, and long-term livability.
Panelists included Ralph Choeff (Choeff Levy Fischman), Mikael Hamaoui (Riviera Horizons / Pagani Residences Miami), Tatiana Sheveleva (CHAPI Design), Kathy Samaan (Samaan Design Group), Monica Suleski (Eclectic Elements / Sexy Bedding), and Michael Cetta (Cetta Group). The panel was moderated by Demetri Demascus (PROFILEmiami).
A central theme emerged early in the discussion: wellness is no longer an amenity—it is the foundation of modern luxury. Panelists emphasized that today’s buyers are increasingly prioritizing factors such as natural light, air quality, acoustic control, and sensory comfort as essential components of long-term value.
Architect Ralph Choeff highlighted the role of proportion, ceiling height, and spatial flow in shaping how environments influence stress levels and overall well-being over time, while Mikael Hamaoui discussed how projects like Pagani Residences Miami are integrating performance-driven design and wellness-focused programming into the residential experience.
Interior designers Tatiana Sheveleva and Kathy Samaan explored the rise of what was described as “nervous-system luxury,” where interiors are designed to calm, restore, and support daily living rather than simply impress visually. Monica Suleski further emphasized the importance of tactile comfort, sleep environments, and sensory layering in creating spaces that support long-term health.
From a construction perspective, Michael Cetta reinforced that true luxury reveals itself over time, noting that material selection, millwork quality, environmental control systems, and precision execution are critical to how buildings perform and age—particularly in South Florida’s coastal climate.
Panel 2: Architecture, Landscape Design & the Economics of Development

The second panel shifted focus to the intersection of design and economics, examining how architecture, landscape design, and execution directly impact value creation, market performance, and long-term returns.
Michael Konig (One Thousand Group), Alejandro Acebal (Aceball Canney Arquitectos & Asociados), Ralph Choeff (Choeff Levy Fischman), Andres Arcila (Naturalficial, Inc.), Kirk Ivy (IVEY Punch / IVEY Design Build), and Ronald Bloomberg (Atrium at Trackside). The panel was moderated by Demetri Demascus (PROFILEmiami).
The discussion opened with a key question: whether architecture should be viewed as a cost center or a primary driver of value. Panelists widely agreed that in today’s competitive market, design excellence is a critical differentiator, influencing everything from absorption rates to long-term asset performance.
Landscape architect Andres Arcila emphasized the growing importance of outdoor environments, noting that landscape design has evolved from a secondary amenity to a core component of lifestyle, wellness, and value creation, particularly in South Florida’s climate.
Developers Michael Konig and Ronald Bloomberg highlighted the role of architecture and experiential design in shaping tenant demand, pricing power, and long-term NOI, particularly in mixed-use and commercial environments. Together with architects Alejandro Acebal and Ralph Choeff they discussed the importance of the developer and architect working together to ensure iconic projects are both feasible but still able to push the limits of design. They also discussed the emerging role of world-class international architects in the Miami market.
Kirk Ivy provided insight into the realities of construction, underscoring the importance of aligning architectural ambition with execution feasibility, especially amid rising material and labor costs. The panel emphasized that early collaboration between developers, architects, and builders is essential to maintaining both design integrity and financial discipline.

Marking one of the most ambitious residences ever brought to market in the city, Villa Miami unveils a 15,000-square-foot, three-story estate in the sky. Conceptualized by acclaimed interior designer Vicky Charles of Charles & Co., the waterfront triplex crowns the top of the 56-story tower.
Villa Miami is under construction, on track for delivery late 2027.
Developed by Terra (David Martin), One Thousand Group (Kevin Venger, Louis Birdman, Michael Konig), and Major Food Group (Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, Alex Pirez), Villa Miami fuses bold architecture with five-star hospitality in a highly curated, low-density setting of just 70 residences. The 650-foot-tall waterfront condominium is set to become a new architectural landmark on Biscayne Bay, featuring a rooftop helipad and a distinctive copper-colored exoskeleton designed by ODP Architects.
“This triplex design represents the caliber of residences the new Miami market is craving,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “Vicky Charles is behind some of the world’s most elegant private estates, and she brings a level of sophistication rarely seen in Miami. Her design for this residence is worldly, timeless, and unlike anything else in the city. This residence delivers the scale and privacy of a single-family home across three floors in the sky.”
Charles drew inspiration from mid-century Italian villas and Biscayne Bay. An AD100 designer with a client roster that includes the Beckhams, the Clooneys, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis, Charles brings a signature sense of warmth and depth to Villa, her first-ever Miami condo tower project. Upon entry, a sculptural spiral staircase makes a dramatic statement, complemented by diamond-patterned stone, ambient lighting, and hand-applied plaster walls.
“Every aspect of this project is deeply personal to us,” said Charles. “We approached every detail through the lens of luxury, incorporating distinctive marbles, custom patterns, and highly curated amenity offerings.”
Priced at $55 million, the fully finished and furnished three-story residence designed by Vicky Charles spans 12,752 interior square feet and 2,069 square feet of exterior space, including a 185-square-foot private entry foyer. It features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two powder rooms, and four private terraces, along with estate-scale amenities: two full kitchens, a private pool, gym, sauna, steam room, massage room, office, staff quarters, private elevator, and two laundry rooms, all elevated high above Biscayne Bay.
The first level includes the dramatic spiral staircase framed by two-story bay views, the primary suite, two secondary bedrooms, a dual-vanity marble bath, office, family room, two terraces, and a walk-in closet connected to a laundry room. A corner study with a built-in bar and a rec room with a copper-detailed marble bar complete the floor.
Dedicated to entertaining, the second floor unveils a chef’s kitchen flowing into the great room, formal dining space, and waterfront terrace. A hidden butler’s kitchen, wine cellar, and staff quarters enhance functionality.
The top level is a full-service wellness and leisure deck featuring a bayfront infinity pool, gym, sauna, steam and massage room, lounge, billiards room, bar, and two covered outdoor areas.
“This residence embodies the pinnacle of luxury entertainment,” added Charles. “It’s a defining feature that sets this space apart as truly one-of-a-kind.”
“This triplex really reflects where Miami’s market is today,” said Kevin Venger of One Thousand Group. “Buyers are looking for ultra-luxury homes with space, privacy, and a true sense of lifestyle—and that’s exactly what we’ve created here. Vicky’s design brings it all together beautifully, making this a one-of-a-kind residence that speaks to how people want to live in Miami now.”
Villa Miami has attracted strong interest from both domestic and international buyers, with residents hailing from the Northeast, California, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. The building appeals to a high net worth demographic that includes professional athletes, CEOs, and top executives in finance and tech, reflecting South Florida’s evolving buyer profile. Miami has become a go-to destination for billionaires, tech moguls, and finance executives, fueling a wave of record-breaking real estate deals and establishing the city as home to some of the country’s wealthiest individuals, including Jeff Bezos and Ken Griffin.
The tower also marks the first branded residential tower by Major Food Group, the acclaimed team behind CARBONE, ZZ’s Club, and Dirty French. The group has curated every aspect of the resident experience, from interiors to culinary programming. At the heart of the tower is The Copper Club, a three-level private amenity suite with private dining, lounges, screening room, salon, wellness facilities, and a rooftop helipad. On the ground floor, a waterfront restaurant by Major Food Group will offer residents VIP access and priority seating.
Terra and One Thousand Group have come together as partners for the first time to present Villa Miami. Led by David Martin, Terra recently delivered Five Park Miami Beach and Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove, and has previously completed residential developments including the Renzo Piano-designed Eighty Seven Park, the Rem Koolhaas/OMA-designed Park Grove, and the Bjarke Ingels-designed Grove at Grand Bay towers. One Thousand Group and Terra have secured a $285 million construction loan to bring Villa Miami to life in Miami’s East Edgewater neighborhood. As the first-ever residential tower branded by the world-renowned Major Food Group (MFG), the 650-foot-tall waterfront condominium is set to become a new architectural landmark on Biscayne Bay.
One Thousand Group and Terra have secured a $285 million construction loan to bring Villa Miami to life in Miami’s East Edgewater neighborhood. As the first-ever residential tower branded by the world-renowned Major Food Group (MFG), the 650-foot-tall waterfront condominium is set to become a new architectural landmark on Biscayne Bay featuring 70 private residences, a helipad, and a distinctive copper-colored exoskeleton designed by ODP Architects. Construction of Villa Miami broke ground earlier this month and is slated for completion in 2027.
The financing was provided by TYKO Capital, which is backed by Elliott Investment Management and led by Adi Chugh. TYKO is a multi-billion-dollar commercial real estate private equity and private credit investment management platform. Among the notable projects that the firm has provided financing for in New York City and Miami are Manhattan's Flatiron Building, One High Line’s luxury condos, Miami's St. Regis Residences, and the 830 Brickell Class-A office building. Financing was arranged by Walker & Dunlop’s Keith Kurland and Jordan Casella who also recently worked with Terra on the $170 million construction loan for the first phase of the firm’s $1 billion mixed-use project near Sweetwater’s Dolphin Mall, Upland Park.
“The financing secured for Villa Miami underscores the demand for an exceptionally curated residential experience within an intimate, boutique setting,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “Today’s lenders are drawn to best-in-class projects led by trusted teams with a proven track record. Villa Miami unites top-tier talent in a distinctive collaboration, creating a landmark residence in Edgewater—one of Miami’s most central and connected neighborhoods. This project reflects the evolution of Miami’s luxury condo market, which now caters to a discerning buyer demographic with a refined knowledge of brand ethos and the market.”
Set to rise 650 feet and 56 stories, Villa Miami celebrated its groundbreaking on December 5th during Miami’s Art Week. The project will house only 70 ‘estate-style’ residences, each featuring expansive full- and half-floor layouts with sweeping 360-degree views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline. With residences starting at $5 million, Villa Miami’s units range from 3,000 to 6,000 square feet. Completion is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2027.
“As branded residences continue to grow, they are redefining luxury by integrating the expertise of food and hospitality leaders like Major Food Group,” said Kevin Venger, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group. “With its prime waterfront location, striking architecture, and unparalleled amenities, Villa Miami sets a new benchmark for artistry, innovation, and sophisticated living, cementing Miami’s status as a global design and lifestyle hub.”
Edgewater has become increasingly attractive to Northeastern buyers drawn to its central location, close to sought-after neighborhoods like the Miami Design District, Midtown, Downtown and Miami Beach. These areas offer some of the city’s most desirable and walkable lifestyle destinations, with top-rated dining, high-end boutique shopping and cultural hotspots. Villa Miami will also be home to a new Major Food Group’s restaurant concept opening on the ground floor.
Villa Miami marks MFG’s debut in residential development. Terra, led by David Martin; One Thousand Group, led by Kevin Venger, Louis Birdman and Michael Konig; and Major Food Group Co-Founders Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi along with Miami partner Alex Pirez, celebrated the official groundbreaking of Villa Miami, a visionary luxury tower marking the first condominium branded by the renowned hospitality brand. Uniting some of the most revered and respected legacy developers for the first time, the 650-foot tower is set to rise above East Edgewater's exclusive bayfront. The copper-clad, 56-story masterpiece introduces a limited collection of just 70 half- and full-floor residences, creating an unrivaled living experience rooted in service, cuisine and design.
“Our thesis for Villa Miami merges world-class design, culinary excellence and the finest living standards,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “This project elevates the luxury condo market while embracing a low-density approach that enhances exclusivity. With just 70 residences, Villa Miami offers our residents an elevated sense of privacy, allowing them to experience the feeling of 'homes in the sky' where the social spaces serve as natural extensions of their personal living spaces."
The project is being brought to life by Moss Construction, the award-winning firm behind Five Park Miami Beach, successfully delivered on schedule last month. Seawall work for Villa Miami started in September and the tower is slated for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2027.
“This groundbreaking marks a significant milestone in our entry into the luxury residential market,” said Jeff Zalaznick, Co-founder, Major Food Group. “Every aspect of this project reflects our shared vision and meticulous attention to detail. From the amenities and culinary offerings to the design elements and even the smallest touches, like bathroom sinks and kitchen finishes, our involvement has been deeply personal. This is more than just a building—it’s a celebration of MFG’s passion, precision and unmatched quality.”
Designed by ODP Architects, Villa Miami will serve as an architectural landmark within the East Edgewater neighborhood, offering direct access to Miami’s most coveted cultural, shopping and dining destinations, including the Miami Design District, Wynwood and Midtown. With panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and Miami Beach, the residences provide unparalleled connectivity to the city's vibrant energy, while being just minutes away from Miami Beach.
“We’re thrilled to break ground on Villa Miami with an extraordinary team of designers, architects, builders and partners,” said Kevin Venger of One Thousand Group. “Working with Vicky Charles and Kurt Dannwolf at One Thousand Museum, redefined Miami’s ultra-luxury condo landscape and architectural skyline. Now, we’re excited to collaborate with both of them to create another landmark that will elevate the Edgewater neighborhood and Biscayne Bay.”
At the heart of Villa Miami lies the creative genius of Major Food Group, the driving force behind globally renowned destinations like CARBONE, ZZ’s Club and Dirty French, which has redefined Miami’s culinary landscape. MFG’s first-ever residential project delivers an unmatched hospitality experience, expertly curating resident-only amenities that embody the group's signature style of luxurious decadence and white-glove service.
The result is The Copper Club, an exclusive three-floor private club for residents that comprises the building’s entire amenity suite and creates a curated lifestyle. The club boasts private dining rooms, lounges, a screening room, a hair salon and more, while the rooftop helipad and lounge, elevated pool deck, yacht club and wellness facilities complete MFG’s first residents-only club offering. Adding to the allure, Villa Miami will be home to a new MFG waterfront restaurant on the ground floor, where residents will enjoy priority seating.
Setting a new benchmark in interior design, Villa Miami is the first foray into a collaboration between hospitality geniuses Major Food Group and interior designer Vicky Charles of Charles & Co. who collaborated closely to perfect the residential and hospitality environments. Villa Miami marks Charles' debut Miami condominium project, renowned for her exceptional work with A-list celebrity clients and bespoke estates across the globe. Drawing inspiration from mid-century Italian villas, the flow of the bay outside and Miami’s colorful energy. The interiors flow with warm woods, curving furniture and ambient lighting.
