DJ Khaled, whose real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled, has officially sold his Island Estates waterfront mansion in Aventura for $4.8 million. The closing price is nearly 45% off of the initial $7.99 million list price from December 2018. The custom designed home, which is located at 3914 Island Estates Drive and built in 2001, spans 6,697 SF and is decked out with the music producers own personal taste including a custom sneaker room.

Khaled spent over $2.5 million remodeling the four-story, 5 bedroom, 6 bath Mediterranean estate to include 14k gold chandeliers with Swarovski crystals, beautiful open spaces with floor to ceiling windows, an elevator, dramatic foyers, granite staircase, a wine room, gourmet chef’s kitchen plus a master suite with a sitting area and veranda with water views. The master-suite features a massive sneaker closet with his signature slogan “WE THE BEST” printed on the closet floor with the capacity for over 500 shoes. DJ Khaled initially purchased the property in 2014 for $3.84 million and has since moved to a 13,000 SF mansion he purchased for $22 million Pine Tree Drive, Miami Beach.

Two More Units At One Thousand Museum Sell For $6 Million And $11 Million

One Thousand Museum, the luxury residential condominium by the London-based Zaha Hadid Architects, sold two new units this past week. The 62-story, 84-floor unit tower opened in August 2019 and has since then attracted many buyers, among which are David and Victoria Beckham, who closed on a $19.8 million full-floor penthouse back in late March.

David Beckham will no longer be the only soccer player in the building. His new neighbor, Manchester United and French national team soccer player Paul Pogba, closed on a $6 million luxury condo in the tower this Thursday. 

The building has also the attention of New Yorkers interested in moving to South Florida. Friday marked the closing of its 11,544-square-foot penthouse unit 5301 for $11 million. The undisclosed New York buyer’s new unit will take up a whole floor with five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. Prior to purchasing, they toured the penthouse twice: once before the pandemic, and again during it through a virtual tour.

The unit went under contract two weeks ago once the buyer offered to pay in cash for the originally $16 million penthouse. The price was later reduced by 31% before closing, selling low for only for $952 per square foot compared to a similar full-floor penthouse the Beckhams purchased for $1,810 per square foot.

Internet beauty and fashion mogul Loren Ridinger, co-founder and senior executive vice president of Market America and founder of the cosmetics brand Motives, has purchased a new condo at Elysee. The three-tiered, 57-story luxury building in Miami’s Edgewater district was designed by Arquitectonica’s Bernardo Fort-Brescia and boasts elegant interior spaces from Parisian designer Jean-Louis Deniot. Elysee is scheduled to be completed later this year.

Ridinger’s half-floor residence at the boutique high-rise will have 4 bedrooms, a den, 5.5 bathrooms, and 180-degree direct east/west facing terraces that will give panoramic views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, and the Downtown Miami skyline, for a total of 3,865 square feet of interior and exterior space. David Beckham purchases $20 million condo at One Thousand Museum in Downtown Miami

Former soccer player David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham have just recently purchased a new condo at the Zaha Hadid-designed One Thousand Museum, a 62-story building complete with its own private rooftop helipad. This will be their new home in Miami. 

One Thousand Museum is located at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami and officially opened in August 2019. David Beckham’s publishing and licensing company, Beckham Brand Limited, closed on the 11,046 square-foot, full-floor penthouse - one of the ten in the building - this Tuesday for $20 million, or $1,810 per square foot, a price that is much higher than the $1,392 per square foot that another penthouse in the building recently closed.

Robert Hite, a real estate agent at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, brokered the deal.

“Iconic design, sophisticated lifestyle, privacy, and security are among the key factors driving our clients to make One Thousand Museum their Miami base,” said the development team of One Thousand Museum. “We know Mr. Beckham and his team will be very happy here.”

An Israel- and New York-based luxury real estate development firm SC 8955 LLC, a subsidiary of Sapir Corp Ltd., announced that Gerard Guez and his wife Jacqueline Rose will purchase unit 601 on the 6th floor of the oceanfront boutique condominium, Arte by Antonio Citterio. The boutique, waterfront luxury building is nearing completion and receipt of its certificate of occupancy. The transaction will close during the second quarter of 2020 with a purchase price of $11,480,000. The Purchase Price reflects $2,713 per SF.
