The new sales gallery for Cora Merrick Park – the first wellness-oriented residences in Coral Gables – is now officially open at 4200 Laguna Street in Coral Gables. On Tuesday, Sept. 30, developers Constellation Group and The Boschetti Group celebrated the grand opening of the gallery with Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, inaugurating the space and giving the community a sneak peek of the luxurious details and wellness features that make this project unique. Guests enjoyed live music, sipped adaptogenic cocktails and wellness elixirs, and participated in immersive demonstrations of red-light therapy panels and lymphatic compression treatments, curated by Centner Wellness. Inside the gallery, guests explored Cora’s signature finishes – natural stone, wood, and tile imported from Europe and around the world.

Designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Urban Robot, Cora Merrick Park is delivering 74 refined residences priced from the $900,000s to over $4 million to Merrick Park – Coral Gables’ world-class shopping and dining destination. The project is directly across the street from Shops at Merrick Park, and walking distance to downtown Coral Gables and the Metrorail, and just minutes from Coconut Grove, University of Miami and Downtown Miami/Brickell.

“Cora Merrick Park is the first residential community in Coral Gables designed to integrate wellness into everyday living,” said Eduardo Otaola, Managing Principal at Constellation Group. “At the same time, it meets pent-up demand for new luxury product in Coral Gables. Cora offers a compelling alternative to the single-family home market in an irreplaceable location that delivers walkability, community, and the quality-of-life benefits that Coral Gables is known for – all in a finished turnkey-project with world-class amenities.”

Spanish wellness firm Lamarca Well, best known for creating the first wellness hub in Madrid, Spain, is overseeing Cora’s wellness programming. Key components include biophilic design, advanced air and water purification systems, noise-reducing acoustic design, non-toxic building and cleaning materials, a fitness center with a dedicated recovery area, and a spa with infrared sauna, steam room, contrast hydrotherapy (hot and cold) pools, and red-light therapy panels. Additional offerings include a resort-style roof deck pool, yoga and meditation area, lobby tearoom, and the first rooftop padel court in Coral Gables.

“At CORA Merrick Park, we believe wellness isn’t just about offering a product or service – it’s about delivering a lifestyle and creating environments that support lasting change,” said Mischka Capriles, Lamarca Well co-founder.

Lamarca and Arquitectonica will also oversee Cora’s enrollment in the International Well Building Institute (IWBI) WELL for residential program – an evidence-based, third-party certification aimed at creating healthier, more resilient homes.

Located at 4241 Aurora Street, Cora Merrick Park offers 13 unique floor plans, from one-bedrooms to expansive three-bedroom plus den residences. Each home has 10-foot ceilings, Italkraft kitchens, Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances, designer stone countertops, custom porcelain flooring, walk-in closets, and private, expansive lanais in select residences.

Cora offers a design-forward reinterpretation of the Spanish Mediterranean aesthetic through a modern, wellness-focused lens. Classic natural materials are used in novel ways to bring natural sophistication to interior spaces. Coralina stone and marble are paired with a dark stained oak – a nod to Coral Gables’ oak canopy – to create a moody, sexy color palette. Textured lime-wash walls and soft, organic stone forms – from the fluted marble lobby column to the rounded edges of the kitchen islands and bathroom vanities – foster calm and evoke a connection to nature. In the residences, a unique chevron-patterned, porcelain-tile floor from Spain’s Living Ceramics puts a contemporary spin on the classic design motif. Floor-to-ceiling windows usher in natural light to create a modern aesthetic rarely seen in the city.

Hospitality-inspired details, including a striking sculptural reception desk in the lobby and custom property fragrance, bring an added touch of European elegance. Outside, an original sculpture by celebrated Catalan visual artist Jaume Plensa anchors a lush 5,000-square-foot park, underscoring Cora’s seamless blend of art, architecture, and wellness.

In Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, Ponce Park Residences and Ziggurat by The Allen Morris Company showcased forward-looking design anchored in two of Miami’s most historic neighborhoods.

Beyond these flagship projects, the Showcase also featured a diverse slate of developments transforming their respective districts: Midtown Park by Proper and Rosso Development, Edge House by Grupo T&C, Turnberry One Park Tower, Seven Park Residences by Kadima Developers, River 14 District by Alta Development, The Rider Residences Wynwood by Rilea Group, Atelier Residences Miami by BLDG Ventures, Cora and Ella by Constellation Group, and ELLE Residences Miami by Vertical Developments & Urban Network Capital Group. Collectively, these projects underscored the creativity, ambition, and range of Miami’s current development cycle — from boutique to skyline-defining towers.

Alongside the projects, the Showcase brought together an elite group of sponsors and industry leaders powering South Florida’s real estate ecosystem. Berkadia and BI Group USA highlighted the capital and financing backbone behind Miami’s growth, while specialized partners such as Modern Stones, La Cuisine Appliances, Fairfield Integrated Systems, Renson, Walk Thru Plans, Condessa Kitchens, and Roomsys showcased the innovation and craftsmanship shaping the buyer experience. Carson Beck’s Impact on Miami’s Economy and the University of Miami

When quarterback Carson Beck transferred to the University of Miami, most headlines centered on his potential to reshape the Hurricanes’ offense. But in Miami, a city where culture, business, and lifestyle converge, the impact of a star player extends far beyond the field.

When quarterback Carson Beck transferred to the University of Miami, most headlines centered on his potential to reshape the Hurricanes’ offense. But in Miami, a city where culture, business, and lifestyle converge, the impact of a star player extends far beyond the field.

Since his arrival in Coral Gables, Beck has done more than command the huddle—he has elevated the university’s national visibility. A statement win over Notre Dame helped propel the Hurricanes into the Top 5 rankings, positioning the program as a contender once again. That visibility carries meaningful financial implications for both the university and the greater Miami market.

The Economics of Winning

Winning football is winning business. The University of Miami’s athletic department reported $182.5 million in revenue in fiscal year 2023-24, with football serving as the cornerstone of that success. Over the past three years, the program has averaged $75.5 million annually, underscoring its role as the university’s financial engine. Analysts now value the Hurricanes’ football brand at more than $600 million, placing it among the upper tier of college athletics.

Beck’s leadership and high-profile victories are catalysts for further growth across multiple revenue streams—ticket sales, alumni giving, corporate sponsorships, and merchandise. The Notre Dame game, in particular, sparked renewed enthusiasm, boosting not only gameday receipts but also donations and long-term support.

Ripple Effects Across Miami

For the city, nationally relevant UM football weekends resemble cultural tentpoles like Art Basel or the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. Hotels see thousands of additional room nights booked, restaurants experience surges in reservations, and nightlife venues thrive as alumni and visitors descend on the city. These spikes translate into millions of dollars in incremental local spending.

The upcoming primetime showdown against Florida is expected to have a similar effect. With University of Miami ranked No. 5, the game will attract national media coverage, traveling fans, and a significant television audience—further reinforcing Miami as a global destination for both sports and lifestyle.

Real Estate and Brand Miami

Sports success also bolsters Miami’s broader brand. A Top 5 University of Miami Hurricanes team competing under the lights strengthens the city’s positioning as a dynamic, upward-moving market. For developers, brokers, and investors, this visibility helps fuel narratives of vibrancy and growth—critical in attracting corporate relocations, institutional capital, and high-net-worth buyers.

In Coral Gables, University of Miami’s resurgence adds depth to housing demand, retail vibrancy, and mixed-use momentum. Across Miami’s urban core, student activity, alumni engagement, and visitor spending create additional layers of demand that touch hospitality, residential, and commercial sectors alike.

A Moment of Momentum

Beck’s upcoming matchup against Florida is more than a football game—it is a moment of leverage. A win would solidify Miami’s return to the national elite and generate another wave of attention with measurable financial returns.

For developers, brokers, and investors—the lesson is clear: when the Hurricanes thrive on the field, Miami thrives off it. Carson Beck’s transfer has already proven to be more than an athletic storyline; it is an economic spark that reinforces the city’s standing on the national stage.

With Bravo’s financial support, we are excited to continue developing this truly one-of-a-kind luxury development,” said Joseph Stern, Co-Founder and Principal at SB Development Group. “Edgewater is one of Miami’s most understated yet dynamic neighborhoods, and we are confident that Cove Miami will continue to raise the area’s reputation as Miami’s next luxury market.”

Since its founding in 2021, Bravo Property Trust has originated over $1.8 billion in financing, establishing itself as a reliable lender for large scale residential and mixed-use projects. Given their impressive track record and belief that the Edgewater market will soon make waves, Bravo Property Trust is eager to enter into this new relationship with SB Development and Hazelton.

“We’re always chasing quality, and we often find that quality comes in larger checks with sponsors who are ambitious and experienced,” said Aaron Krawitz, founder and CEO of Bravo Capital. “SB Development and Hazelton’s vision for Cove Miami perfectly reflects that drive; they are bringing a top-tier luxury product to Edgewater at a time when supply in the $1 million to $2 million range is limited and demand from buyers seeking well-located, high-end residences continues to grow. It’s a standout opportunity in one of Miami’s most dynamic neighborhoods.”

Located on the stunning shores of the Biscayne Bay, Cove Miami offers a chic yet serene living experience through a limited collection of 134 luxury residences. Architecturally designed by world-renowned firms Kobi Karp and Dieguez Fridman, the development will feature one- to- four-bedroom residences that boast floor-to-ceiling windows, expansive wrap-around terraces, and carefully curated natural elements, allowing residents to deeply connect with their serene surroundings. Cove Miami’s suite of high-quality amenities include a sun-kissed infinity pool with private cabanas, a Tranquility Spa with a cold plunge, massage rooms, a traditional hammam, and a sauna, a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor yoga areas, a rooftop lounge with an outdoor kitchen and panoramic views of Biscayne Bay, a private dining room with chef’s kitchen, a Grand Theater, a game and billiards room, a library and wine room, a pet spa, and dock access for water sports. Additionally, residents also have access to both shared co-working spaces and private office suites, as well as an on-site waterfront restaurant. Exclusive resident services, including on-demand LEAA Healthcare and Zipcar car-sharing, further enhance convenience, creating a luxurious and fully curated lifestyle.

“We couldn’t be more excited to deliver Cove Miami to the Edgewater community,” said Adam Westreich, Principal at Hazelton Capital Group. “Our vision is to create a residential experience that feels both elevated and authentic to the neighborhood, and we are confident Cove Miami fits the bill perfectly. This development will be more than just another luxury development, it will become the pride of Edgewater.”
