It is expected that they will demolish the Lido Spa Hotel and the Lido Bayside Grill and replace it with a new 3-story structure that features ground floor parking and hotel rooms. The hotel room count will remain at 100 and the redesign will be headed up by Rene Gonzalez. The facelift will also leave most of the front facade in tact, especially the parts with historical MiMo Art Deco features. The currently operating spa will not be affected by the facelift. The proposal also addresses sea level rise and was approved by the Miami Beach Design Review Board.
