Farther – Intelligent Wealth Management, natively built to unlock greater wealth for clients throughout their financial lives – has launched Farther Family Office (FFO), a bespoke offering for ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) families. Built ground up for ultra-high-net-worth families, Farther Family Office powers elite advisory services with intelligent solutions to remove the pain points of generational wealth management.
FFO is architected from the ground up to serve the increasingly complex needs of clients with generational wealth. Informed by centimillionaire and billionaire clients, FFO is empowered to act purely in its clients’ best interests – supported by native AI infrastructure to serve clients without the friction associated with traditional institutions’ “bolt-on” technology.
Benjamin Seidenstein, CFA, will lead as Global Head of FFO. A longtime Goldman Sachs private wealth advisor, Seidenstein oversaw over $1.5 billion in client assets and established one of the firm's fastest-growing private wealth practices, advising UHNW entrepreneurs, executives, and private investors.
“Private banking is overdue for a new model – one centered around the clients’ needs, not the institution’s,” said Benjamin Seidenstein, Global Head of FFO. “Farther Family Office meets that need by combining a technology-first foundation with a bespoke advisory model to deliver truly customized solutions and elite service for generational wealth management.”
Farther’s multi-family office gives UHNW families the full experience of a dedicated family office, without the operational complexity. FFO’s flexibility also extends to whom it serves. Unlike traditional multi-family offices, Farther does not impose arbitrary minimums, recognizing that some of the most sophisticated wealth management needs belong to entrepreneurs, creators, and builders whose wealth is still taking shape ahead of major liquidity events.
FFO is built to satisfy the critical demands of growing and stewarding generational wealth:
Uncompromised Client Service: As a fee-only fiduciary, absent product allegiances and institutional bureaucracy, FFO is free to focus entirely on what matters – delivering the right solution that best serves each client’s needs, not simply what’s best for the institution.
Whole-Life Wealth Coordination: FFO serves as the single, trusted point of contact for a family's entire financial life – coordinating across investments, tax, estate, lending, and beyond. FFO anticipates and acts on clients’ needs before they have to ask.
Open Architecture Investment Access: FFO provides access to an expansive investment universe – including niche strategies, targeted alternatives and highly customized opportunities, tailored to each family's goals and values. While traditional firms are incentivized to offer only what can scale across their entire client base, FFO sources bespoke opportunities for each client’s unique financial situation.
Multi-Generational Continuity: Supported by Farther's Intelligent Wealth Platform, FFO gives families a single, unified view of their entire financial picture, across generations. This equips the next generation not just with wealth, but with the tools, visibility and systems required to learn about, preserve and steward it.
South Florida, and Miami in particular, has rapidly emerged as one of the most important hubs for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families globally, driven by significant wealth migration from markets such as New York, California and international financial centers. As capital, entrepreneurs, and family offices continue to relocate and establish a presence in the region, the demand for more sophisticated, flexible, and technology-driven wealth management solutions has accelerated. Though Farther Family Office works with clients nationally, with Benjamin Seidenstein based in Miami, Farther Family Office is strategically positioned at the center of this shift—serving a growing base of UHNW clients who increasingly view South Florida not just as a lifestyle destination, but as a long-term financial and generational wealth hub.
“The most successful families in the world deserve a wealth management experience as sophisticated as their financial lives,” said Taylor Matthews, CEO and Co-Founder of Farther. “Ben is one of the most respected advisors in the industry, and together we’re building something that’s never existed before: a true family office experience, powered by Farther’s Intelligent Wealth Platform.”
Founded in 2019, Farther manages over $15 billion in assets and supports advisors nationwide. The firm ranks among the top 10 recruiters of financial advisors nationally, according to AdvisorHub, and delivers category-leading advisor satisfaction.

Specialized investment management firm Pretium plans to open an office at Deco Capital Group’s Eighteen Sunset, a Class A office building being constructed at 1769 Purdy Avenue in Miami Beach. Pretium has leased 11,591 square feet on the fourth floor of the project, which together with other completed leases represents approximately 80% of all available office space at Eighteen Sunset. About 9,500 square feet in the building is still available. The project is currently rising after securing a $60 million construction loan last year.
“Miami Beach is excited to welcome Pretium to our community where our business assistance programs and incentives ease the ability of doing business, and our culture and lifestyle benefit business leaders, create jobs, and attract and retain talent,” shared Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber.
With more than 4,500 employees, Pretium has over $50 billion in assets under management across U.S. residential real estate, residential credit and corporate credit. Pretium’s Miami Beach office will span more than half of the fourth floor in the five-story building. The company will join a multibillion-dollar, publicly traded Toronto firm that signed a 20,000 square foot lease earlier this year. On the ground floor, Uchiko, a restaurant concept by award-winning Hai Hospitality group, will occupy approximately 6,000 square feet of space. Stephen Rutchik, executive managing director of Colliers International Florida, and Neil King, vice chairman of CBRE New York, represented Deco Capital Group in the transaction, and Daniel Posy, executive managing director of JLL New York, represented Pretium.
“Pretium is excited to be expanding its office presence to Miami, a region with a growing financial services community,” said Laura Cappiello, Pretium’s Chief Human Resources Officer. “Having an office in Miami will enable Pretium to attract and retain premium talent and broaden the pool of diverse candidates we seek to recruit.”
“Miami Beach has seen a significant increase in inbound investment, and the most fundamental change to the city’s economy has been the drive to develop Class A, best-in-class office space capable of accommodating the needs of preeminent global companies,” said Bradley Colmer, founder of Deco Capital Group. “Pretium operates from exemplary offices in international financial hubs and is proud to be one of the trailblazing companies relocating or expanding and establishing a more substantial presence in South Florida. Pretium is drawn to Eighteen Sunset for its quality design, prime waterfront location in the Sunset Harbour neighborhood and market-leading amenities and views.”
The City of Miami Beach has assisted a number of technology and financial services companies in expanding or relocating their operations after launching meaningful business incentive programs and business concierge services in 2021. Pretium participated in the city’s Expedited Plan Review and Permitting Program which offers an accelerated permitting review process of 10 business days. The city’s Job Creation Incentive Program offers an incentive of up to $60,000 per year for up to four years for businesses in targeted industries that create or relocate a minimum of 10 new, full-time jobs with average annual wages that meet or exceed 125% of Miami-Dade County or Florida average wages.
“It is really encouraging to see great companies, like Pretium and others, take advantage of Miami Beach’s programs and services,” affirmed Miami Beach City Manager Alina Hudak. “These programs were created to diversify the Miami Beach economy for the benefit of the entire community.”

Seasoned real estate veteran Scott Sherman has launched Torose Equities, a Miami-based real estate investment firm with a value-add urban retail, office and mixed-use strategy targeting the Southeastern United States.
Torose will be Sherman’s newest venture after successfully launching Miami-based Tricera Capital in 2017 and growing the company to become a household name and key player in major Florida markets. In just five years, Sherman spearheaded the acquisition of 30+ commercial assets totaling $700 million and more than 2.5 million square feet.
Sherman brings with him the former investment arm of Tricera Capital to lead Torose. Ari Sasson serves as Torose’s Chief Financial Officer and Aaron Kay as Director of Acquisitions.
“We are excited to continue to build on the chemistry and momentum we established as a team over the past five years,” said Torose Founder & Principal Scott Sherman. “Our investment strategy at Torose will be familiar to our investment partners. Now more than ever before, Torose’s contrarian approach to real estate investment and development will benefit from the current economic environment.”
Similar to Sherman launching Tricera Capital during the height of the “retail apocalypse,” Torose’s founding team saw the perfect window of opportunity to start another investment firm focused on value-add opportunities amid rising interest rates and growing uncertainty in the real estate market. The team has wasted no time, with properties already under contract that are expected to close by the end of the year.
Some of the team’s most high-profile acquisitions in the past five years include the former Palm Beach Post site in West Palm Beach; Cube Wynwood office building; Offices at Atria in Downtown Sarasota; and a portfolio of properties in Downtown St. Petersburg. The team is also partnered on several notable mixed-use developments including The Dorsey in Wynwood in a JV with Related and Alex Karakhanian; and The Boulevard in a JV with 13th Floor Investments.
The Torose team will continue to target assets ranging from $10 million to over $100 million in core markets in the Southeastern U.S., including Miami, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Nashville, Raleigh-Durham, and Atlanta.
Prior to launching Torose Equities, Sherman served as Managing Partner of Tricera Capital, and was Vice President of Acquisitions at Thor Equities, where he completed in excess of $2 Billion of closed deals. Before joining Thor, Scott was the Director of acquisitions at Becker Brothers.
Apollo Bank Reaches $1 Billion in Assets Following Banner Growth Year In 2021
South Florida-based leading community bank Apollo Bank has hit $1 billion in assets amidst the bank’s strongest growth year to-date. In the past ten years the bank has grown from $100 million to $1 billion. Apollo Bank focused on investing in technology and talent, appointed a new president and grew its residential lending division.
South Florida-based leading community bank Apollo Bank has hit $1 billion in assets amidst the bank’s strongest growth year to-date. In the past ten years the bank has grown from $100 million to $1 billion. Apollo Bank focused on investing in technology and talent, including the addition of a new president and grew its residential lending division with the aim of supporting commercial clients. The bank’s steady growth over the past decade is reflective of Miami’s rise over the same period as a hub for business, investment, lifestyle, and arts and culture, which has fueled the region to lead the nation in a strong pandemic recovery led by significant wealth and business migration.
Apollo Bank is now the region’s leading community bank with five branches across Miami-Dade County’s key business sectors, including Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Kendall, and Hialeah. This growth has been despite the number of community banks in South Florida decreasing by more than half over the past decade as a result of acquisitions from larger financial institutions.
To start off 2021 Apollo Bank appointed Ramon Rodriguez as bank president, a well-respected leader and longtime banking executive. At the same time, the bank also announced significant investments in enhancing digital capabilities and recruiting top talent to ensure long-term growth while continuing to offer best-in-class service. As South Florida has experienced an expansion of its business landscape fueled by financial firms, investors and the tech industry all cementing roots in the region, Apollo Bank also grew its residential lending division aimed at supporting existing and potential commercial clients, new-to-market business owners and investors.
“Before the pandemic, Apollo Bank was already adding new technologies to its suite of services, including advances in mobile banking to match the bank’s elevated level of personalized and convenient service,” said Eddy Arriola, Chairman and CEO of Apollo Bank. “Like many other trends, the pandemic further accelerated the banking industry’s digital needs, resulting in the bank embarking on a digital revolution including the introduction of a new app, enhanced mobile banking, an optimized website and digitized internal systems to streamline internal communication.”
“As our economy diversifies, it created an opportunity for the bank to augment and invest in our residential lending team, which is providing financing to local, national, and international high net worth individuals,” said Ramon Rodriguez, President of Apollo Bank.
When Apollo Bank first launched in 2010, the $100 million institution had one branch in Brickell, Miami’s Financial District, and was founded by local businesspeople to serve South Florida’s business community, with an emphasis on forging long-term relationships with clients through exceptional service. While Miami was just starting to recover from a nationwide recession, the founder of Apollo Bank believed the current economic climate coupled with consolidation in the banking sector, made it an opportune time to launch a community bank.
“Back in 2008, in the height of the recession, I spoke with several industry veterans about opening a community bank focused on commercial clients. Everyone thought I was crazy,” Mr. Arriola added. “Now 10 years after launching Apollo Bank, I am proud of the organization we’ve built, how we’ve supported our community through the most uncertain times, including the pandemic, and how together, we have helped Miami transform into one of the financial and business capitals of the world.”
A longstanding Art Deco hotel in the heart of South Beach is entering its next chapter. The Tony Hotel South Beach has sold for $16.5 million in an off-market transaction, with its new owners planning a major renovation and continued operation of the Collins Avenue property.
