Poised to redefine the South Beach hospitality scene, UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection opened April 1, at 1685 Washington Ave in Miami Beach. The hotel — characterized by its striking architectural presence, an expansive rooftop pool and signature coastal French rooftop restaurant which will open in May. 149 stylish guest rooms with balconies and outdoor terraces, and prime location in mid-South Beach — represents the first premium, lifestyle property to open in the last decade on Washington Avenue, leading the neighborhood's redevelopment in the heart of Miami Beach. The hotel is owned and developed by Finvarb Group, led by Ronny Finvarb, in partnership with JAJ Investment Group. The iconic exterior designed by French architect Rudy Ricciotti and vibrant, sophisticated interiors by celebrated designer Gulla Jónsdóttir.

"At UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection, we aim to set the standard for effortless sophistication and refined hospitality, inviting our guests to enjoy a smart, definitive new perspective on Miami Beach," says General Manager Alexina Beauperthuy. "Our city has evolved over the years into a globally recognized hub of creativity, arts, and culture, and we look forward to offering visitors an experience truly immersed in the vibrant energy of Miami Beach."

"At UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection, we aim to set the standard for effortless sophistication and refined hospitality, inviting our guests to enjoy a smart, definitive new perspective on Miami Beach," says General Manager Alexina Beauperthuy.

UNFRAMED joins Marriott's Autograph Collection portfolio, a collection of hand-selected hotels, ranging from boutique to luxury, each offering a unique perspective on design, craft, and hospitality.

In a city colored by pastel Art Deco facades, UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection brings its own unmistakable visual identity to South Beach. From the exterior, the hotel's signature undulating white curves create a compelling fluidity and pay homage to the sensuality of the French Riviera, as designed by acclaimed architect Rudy Ricciotti. Inside, the vitality of Miami Beach comes alive under the artistic vision of celebrated interior designer Gulla Jónsdóttir. Guests will find layered elements of smooth stone, brushed metal, and luxurious fabrics throughout the hotel, creating an aesthetic that blends tropical modernism and South American flair.

Upon entering the lobby, guests are greeted by sleek, curvilinear shapes, organic lines, and textured surfaces designed to reflect Miami's natural beauty — starting with a bold walnut and bronze entry door from the porte-cochere and a bespoke, sculptural reception desk, two grand seating areas, a striking bronze fireplace, intimate six-seat bar, and a centerpiece chandelier by Parisian designer Mathieu Lehanneur.

On the upper floors, the hotel's accommodations include primarily king rooms with a selection of double queen rooms and the premium UNFRAMED presidential suite, a singular offering spanning more than 700 square feet. All guest rooms enjoy either a private balcony or garden terrace with eco-terrazzo flooring and rattan furnishings, and most offer partial ocean views with large windows that create a seamless sense of indoor to outdoor living.

Within the guest rooms, custom velvet beds and bespoke furniture anchor the space. Soft pink and deep rust tones deliver a sense of warmth and sanctuary that complement the rooms' wood cabinetry and offer an interesting counterpoint to the micro-cement showers and Calacatta Viola marble vanities in the bathrooms.

The fourth floor atrium courtyard is a verdant retreat visible from guest room hallways. Open to the sky, it features lush greenery, slate grey water features, and intimate seating areas, perfect for enjoying breakfast, tea, or evening drinks in a tranquil, airy environment. The rooftop features an expansive pool with ocean views and a signature coastal French concept restaurant which will open in May.

With a curated mix of indoor and outdoor venues, UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection offers a stunning backdrop for intimate events of up to 100 guests. Designed to elevate executive meetings, social gatherings, wedding celebrations, and everything in between, UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection combines versatile spaces — including a rooftop pool terrace with panoramic views of the city and ocean, a lush open-air atrium on the hotel's fourth floor, and the first floor Soundscape room — with tailored, chef-curated menus and attentive hospitality. In addition, the hotel's strong partnerships with nearby Soundscape Park and the Miami Beach Convention Center allow for a seamless meetings and events experience.

Situated at the corner of Washington Avenue and 17th Street, UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection is ideally positioned at the literal and figurative heart of Miami Beach's cultural district. Just steps away from the Frank Gehry-designed New World Symphony Center and Soundscape Park, The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theatre, The Bass Museum of Art, and more, UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection offers guests a front row seat to the city's magnetic creative landscape. For visitors arriving from farther afield, the hotel is a short, 20-minute drive from Miami International Airport, and easily accessible to other must-visit areas in the destination, including Wynwood, the Design District, and downtown Miami.

Preeminent real estate developers Related Group (Related) and BH Group, in collaboration with hospitality leader Marriott International, Inc., have revealed the penthouse collection within the highly anticipated W Pompano Beach Hotel & Residences. These exquisitely curated homes – with uninterrupted ocean views – bring an elevated level of design and amenities yet to be seen in Pompano Beach. Set along the region’s most stunning shoreline, the penthouses immerse buyers in a year-round coastal dream, offering remarkably expansive and supremely discreet light-filled sanctuaries. Prices range from $6.5 million to over $15 million, with the collection now officially on the market and open to buyer inquiries. Fortune International is the exclusive sales and marketing agent for W Pompano Beach.

“With these penthouses, we set out to create something extraordinary – residences that match the energy of the W brand and simultaneously push far, far beyond any home ever seen in this market,” said Nick Perez, President of Related’s Condominium Development Group. “This is a rare opportunity to own Pompano Beach’s residences as it emerges as South Florida’s next premier beachfront destination, at a value that’s impossible to find along South Florida’s waterfront today.”

Occupying the highest levels of the iconic 24-story tower, the nine residences double as waterfront sanctuaries with spectacular panoramic views and a seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Inspired by single-family estates, penthouse floor plans range from 3,250 to over 6,200 square feet, with select residences offering even more expansive layouts that include double master suites and soaring ceilings up to 11 feet. Sunlight pours through the grand east-to-west windows, bathing interiors in natural light, while the sweeping terraces create the sensation of floating above South Florida’s spectacular coastline.

Crowning the property, three Premier Penthouses represent the pinnacle of the collection – a striking embodiment of coastal luxury at its finest. Each of these residences unfold onto a private, panoramic rooftop terrace spanning up to 2,800 square feet – a stunning outdoor retreat designed not just for relaxation but for unforgettable moments. Outfitted with climate-controlled lounges and a state-of-the-art summer kitchen, the terraces make entertaining effortless. These outdoor havens are completed by a shimmering pool deck that welcomes both peaceful mornings and vibrant sunset gatherings. Altogether, the rooftop areas offer some of South Florida’s most generous and thoughtfully crafted alfresco environments, where refined luxury meets the stunning natural beauty of Pompano Beach’s crystal-clear waterfront.

Penthouse owners also unlock the full W Hotels experience, allowing them the privacy of beachfront homes with the social energy of the five-star W brand. The sprawling 60,000-square-foot beach club-inspired WET® Deck transforms into the ultimate playground, where private cabanas, a lively bar and grill, and courts for pickleball and padel create endless opportunities for fun and connection. The shimmering pool and jacuzzi overlook stunning waterfront views, setting the scene for refined gatherings with family and friends.

Inside, W’s Signature Living Room pulses with curated experiences – from live music and art shows to intimate wine tastings and cultural events – while an exclusive speakeasy-style lounge offers a secret escape for late-night conversations and crafted cocktails. Fitness and wellness reach new heights with W’s state-of-the-art FIT® fitness center, which offers comprehensive cardio and weight equipment alongside dedicated yoga and spin studios, supporting a full schedule of private and group classes. The full-service AWAY® Spa is designed for total rejuvenation, featuring custom treatments, a cold plunge, jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms and full hair and nail services.

“Only W Hotels, one of the industry’s most innovative hospitality brands, can deliver this blend of luxury, lifestyle and service,” said Isaac Toledano, Founder of BH Group. “This comes at a pivotal moment as Pompano Beach, fueled by billions in recent public and private investment, rapidly emerges as South Florida’s next luxury hotspot. With prime beachfront opportunities becoming increasingly scarce, this penthouse collection offers a rare chance to own at the forefront of the city’s dynamic growth.”

That bold vision is also reflected in the property’s architecture and design. Nichols Architects, in collaboration with KORA, created a striking silhouette along the shoreline, while interiors by award-winning firm Meyer Davis and lush landscapes by Enea Landscape bring the W brand’s signature luxury to life. From material choices to spatial flow, every detail reinforces the elevated lifestyle that defines the project.

W Pompano Beach Hotel & Residences marks a defining moment in Pompano Beach’s transformation, as billions in public and private investment spark a surge of new development, infrastructure and cultural momentum. As Related Group’s fourth project in the city, it reflects the firm’s deep-rooted commitment to shaping Pompano Beach into one of South Florida’s premier residential destinations.

Miami Worldcenter is currently the second largest urban development underway in the United States and occupies 27 acres in the heart of downtown Miami. The ten-block project is expected to account for $2 billion in new investment in downtown Miami and will include world-class retail, hospitality, commercial and residential uses.

The project, whose “master plan has been in the making for more than a decade” is running on all cylinders with more than 800 workers active on site each day as the project prepares to open its first residential phase as early as this year. To date, 4,000 workers have been hired, and approximately 75 percent of those live in Miami-Dade County. A Class AA office tower of this size and scale hasn’t been built in Miami in a decade and its construction coincides with the launch of Brightline’s rail service into Downtown Miami, which will bring Miami commuters to Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach starting Saturday, May 19th.

The developers, Miami Worldcenter Associates, provided PROFILE with this construction timeline:

  • CAOBA apartments will welcome renters to its 444 units who are seeking a well-connected location adjacent to multiple transportation hubs in the fourth quarter of this year.
  • PARAMOUNT Miami Worldcenter, a 569-unit luxury condominium tower is slated for completion during the first quarter of 2019.
  • The open-air retail, dining and entertainment component, developed in collaboration with The Forbes Company and Taubman, is underway with more than 140,000 square feet of space in construction and another 160,000 square feet forthcoming in phase one. Delivery is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2019.
  • MDM Group expects to begin construction of its 1,700 room Marriot Marquis, complete with 500,000 square feet of meeting, exposition and event space, in the fourth quarter of 2018.
  • LUMA, a 434-unit luxury apartment tower to be developed by ZOM, will break ground later this year with completion anticipated in 2020.
  • A new Class AA office-led mixed-use tower developed by Hines will begin rising out of the ground next year in advance of opening to tenants in 2021.

“Today’s consumers are looking for convenience and connectivity, and Miami Worldcenter delivers on both,” said Nathan Forbes, Managing Partner of The Forbes Company. “We see strong demand for a pedestrian-friendly shopping, dining and entertainment district that will be home to premier brands and inviting public spaces flowing seamlessly with surrounding streets and nearby transit options. Once complete, Miami Worldcenter will become the perfect confluence of arts, culture, entertainment and transportation.”
