Tricera Capital And 13th Floor Investments Secure Lease With Echelon Fitness to Anchor The Boulevard's Retail Component

Tricera Capital, leading the retail efforts at The Boulevard, finalized a lease with a high-profile on-demand exercise firm to anchor the ground-floor retail component. The Boulevard, a 294-unit luxury apartment building, is being developed by 13th Floor Investments in partnership with both Wexford Capital and Tricera.

Tennessee-based Echelon Fitness is relocating its national headquarters to The Boulevard and will offer spinning classes, contemporary workout apparel & accessories in an upscale retail shop, as well as shoot live videos and offer in-person training at the 5700 Biscayne Blvd. location.

Tricera also completed a lease with the popular Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar, which will open a new location at The Boulevard.

Echelon is set to occupy 10,035 square feet at The Boulevard, which will have a total of approximately 27,000 square feet of retail. The 2.2-acre development site is located at 5700 Biscayne Boulevard – just 1.5 miles north of Miami’s Design District.

Known for “redefining home fitness,” Echelon offers a variety of home-based fitness options including connect bikes, rowers, reflects and the echelon stride.

The company plans to utilize the Miami location to offer in person training, spinning classes and will also have a studio component where they record live classes that will then be used for each digitally integrated product. Echelon will be bringing a much-needed luxury fitness experience to the area. It will also operate a retail store and corporate office out of the location.

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to bring an elite tenant such as Echelon to The Boulevard,” Tricera Capital Co-Founder and Managing Principal Ben Mandell said. “Echelon is truly disrupting the home fitness industry, they will fit in well with the pioneering technology firms that are increasingly moving to Miami. The in-person training component will be a major hit with The Boulevard residents and nearby residents and professionals.”

Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar is a local favorite that has locations in Coral Gables, Davie, Downtown Doral, Brickell, Downtown Miami and Miami Beach. At The Boulevard, Crema Gourmet will occupy 2,400 square feet on the ground floor and serve food and smoothies on the building’s rooftop.

Mandell and Jennifer Houston, Tricera’s Executive Vice President – Head of Retail Leasing, oversee retail leasing at The Boulevard. The duo is finalizing leases with a fast-casual poke concept from Pinecrest, upscale salon and luxury clothing boutique.

The partnership expects to complete The Boulevard and commence resident move-ins during the first quarter of 2022.

“This is a very exciting time to be in Miami and work on a project like The Boulevard,” Houston said. “We look forward to elevating the MiMo District with compelling new restaurants and high-end boutiques, creating an unparalleled experience for the project’s tenants and visitors.”

Tricera’s retail experience in the South Florida market is instrumental in making The Boulevard a retail destination for the local community and future residents. The burgeoning MiMo/Biscayne Corridor continues to grow as a top destination for affluent families and new retail concepts.

Remaining available inventory for lease includes flagship space at the intersection of Northeast 58th Street and Biscayne Boulevard – one of the most desirable food-and-beverage spaces left in Miami.

Melo Group's Aria Reserve Luxury Condominium Exceeds 60% Sold In Less Than 6 Months As Groundbreaking Nears

As travel restrictions lift, foreign buyers have begun to return to Miami’s luxury real estate market, adding another layer to the already red-hot demand in South Florida. Melo Group, the developer behind Aria Reserve, has pre-sold more than 60% of its 383-residence South Tower in less than six months since its summer 2021 sales launch.

As travel restrictions lift, foreign buyers have begun to return to Miami’s luxury real estate market, adding another layer to the already red-hot demand in South Florida. In the latest example of this international comeback, Melo Group, the developer behind Aria Reserve, a dual tower luxury condominium development situated on five acres of Biscayne Bay waterfront land in Miami’s Edgewater enclave, has pre-sold more than 60% of its 383-residence South Tower in less than six months since its summer 2021 sales launch. Approximately half of the tower’s buyers hail from domestic markets across the country, with an almost equal number of international buyers.

Aria Reserve’s 62-story towers will mark the tallest waterfront dual tower residential development in the United States. Construction of the project’s South Tower is expected to begin in early 2022, with completion slated for 2024.

“When we launched sales at Aria Reserve over the summer, the majority of our buyers were coming from the domestic market – New York, California, Boston,” said developer Carlos Melo, Co-Principal of the Melo Group. “While we’re still seeing an incredible amount of domestic demand, we’re now seeing some competition coming from overseas as international buyers return to the market. Buyers from Latin American countries like Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Peru are relocating to Miami following the implementation of Covid-19 vaccines, continued political instability, and a recent rise in international tourism.”

Residences at Aria Reserve will include impeccably finished units with one- to four-bedroom floorplans measuring between 1,100 and 2,600 square feet in size. A limited collection of penthouse residences, ranging from 3,500 to over 9,000 square feet, each come with its own one-of-a-kind personal three-car garage vault – of which five trilevel penthouse mansions will also feature private rooftop decks with pools and summer kitchens. Residences are priced from about $850,000 to over $2 million, and up to $12 million for penthouses.

Every residence will include two private or semi-private elevators, a dedicated office/den, at least 10-foot-high ceilings, and open flow-through layouts with up to 11-foot-deep expansive terraces boasting unparalleled sunset views to the west and bay and ocean views to the east.

“Buyers are attracted to our waterfront location and our abundance of amenities,” said Martin Melo, Co-Principal of the Melo Group. “With a two-acre resort-style deck, home to an indoor/outdoor wellness center, a variety of sports courts, and multiple pools for the entire family, along with spacious residences, and some of the best bay and ocean views in Miami, Aria Reserve is appealing to end-user buyers looking to take advantage of the city’s cosmopolitan lifestyle.”

Aria Reserve has been architecturally designed by Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica, with interiors by MORADA Haute Furniture Boutique, and lush landscaping by ArquitectonicaGEO.

The development will boast over two acres of amenities, with standout features including a semi-Olympic sized lap pool and whirlpool spa, a children’s splash pad, playground area, teen lounge and gaming center, a theater, tennis courts, basketball courts, paddle courts, a golf putting green, and an indoor/outdoor wellness center with spa/steam/sauna facilities, massage rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, yoga lounge and meditation garden.

The building will also feature a double-level 25-foot lobby, a signature waterfront restaurant and café, two additional pool and lounge areas with two Jacuzzis and poolside daybeds, a fire pit, a dog park, and a telescope observatory area looking out over the bay. Residents will also have access to a custom-designed watersports dock with available paddleboards, kayaks, and inflatables.

On the ground floor along 23rd Street, Melo Group is developing a public park with open green space that will connect to the Miami Baywalk, providing direct access to the 5-mile-long pedestrian and bicycle-friendly waterfront promenade which runs along Biscayne Bay from Edgewater, around Brickell Key, and all the way to Brickell Bay Drive in Brickell.

Situated along the bayfront just north of Downtown Miami, nestled between the Venetian and Julia Tuttle Causeways – the two main arteries connecting the City of Miami and Miami Beach – Edgewater has fast-emerged as the epicenter of the new Miami. The surrounding neighborhoods of Downtown’s Arts & Entertainment District, Miami Design District, Wynwood Arts District, Midtown Miami, and Miami Beach put residents within blocks of dozens of luxury retail shops, high-end restaurants and world-class arts and culture venues.

Aria Reserve benefits from the development expertise of the Melo Group, one of South Florida’s preeminent residential development firms with a portfolio of more than 6,000 total luxury condominium and high-end multifamily units completed throughout Greater Downtown Miami. The firm is one of Downtown Miami’s most prominent long-term investors and landowners, having found success by investing early in prime real estate and building for market demand. Over the last two decades, Melo has delivered more than a dozen residential towers across Miami’s Central Business District, Edgewater, Miami River, and Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods.

Major Food Group To Open Miami Beach Outpost of World-Renowned Israeli Restaurant HaSalon

Major Food Group (MFG), the creative force behind some of America’s most celebrated restaurants, continues its South Florida expansion with a Miami Beach outpost of HaSalon, the renowned Israeli restaurant originally founded in Tel Aviv.

Major Food Group (MFG), the creative force behind some of America’s most celebrated restaurants, continues its South Florida expansion with a Miami Beach outpost of HaSalon, the renowned Israeli restaurant originally founded in Tel Aviv. Opening on Wednesday November 24, 2021 at the former home of an iconic Miami Beach institution, China Grill, the project marks a groundbreaking collaboration between the two industry leaders.

Led by Co-Founders Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick, and Rich Torrisi, MFG established roots in Miami at the beginning of 2021 with two smash successes: CARBONE in the South of Fifth neighborhood and the private membership venue ZZ’s Club in the Miami Design District. In addition to HaSalon, MFG will launch several additional Miami projects before the end of the year.

“HaSalon is simply legendary. We fell in love with the concept years ago, in part because MFG also builds restaurants that deliver excellent hospitality, unmatched food, and a nightly celebration. Now, we finally get to do it together. The restaurant is a one-of-kind concept born in Israel but made for Miami.” said Jeff Zalaznick, MFG Co-Founder.

HaSalon will open at one of Miami Beach’s most storied locations: 404 Washington Avenue, which for nearly two decades was home to China Grill. The address is a fitting showcase for the theatrics and widely acclaimed Israeli cuisine that have come to define the HaSalon brand at its outposts in Tel Aviv, New York City, and Ibiza.

“Everyone who comes to HaSalon for the first time tells me that they’ve never had an experience like it,” says HaSalon founder Eyal Shani, the beloved chef, MasterChef judge, and restaurateur with over 30 successful ventures to his name. “The mood gets more and more energetic and convivial as the night goes on and guests get comfortable, but one thing never changes: the line of cooks working very quietly, very consciously, on their food.”

In the heart of Miami Beach, the HaSalon team will work from an open kitchen decorated with a bounty of ingredients—a HaSalon signature. They will prepare bright salads, vibrant vegetable dishes, satisfying pastas, as well as show-stopping courses meant for sharing, such as many whole fish preparations, giant lamb kebabs, and steaks. Menu selections will change according to the seasons and the restaurant’s restless creativity, but their famous emphasis on generosity and bold flavors will remain constant.

HaSalon operating hours will be Wednesday - Sunday.

Hospitality and real estate pioneers Standard International and Rosso Development, in collaboration with Alex Vadia’s Midtown Development, announce the launch of The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami. The property is the first-of-its-kind, offering the opportunity to live The Standard’s distinctive lifestyle, which to date has only been available at its hotels. The building blends culture, community and style with world-class design, amenities and service.

The 12-story building is located in the heart of Midtown, Miami’s most vibrant, walkable neighborhood, centrally positioned between The Design District and Wynwood. It will feature 228 pied-à-terre-style residences ranging from studios to two bedrooms, all designed and finished with The Standard’s distinctive touch. In the “anything but Standard” fashion, the building will be the first property in the area to recognize the emerging Flexible Living movement, allowing owners to lease out their units for terms as short as one month.

“For more than twenty years The Standard has tapped into our community’s desire for vibrant social experiences,” said Executive Chairman of Standard International, Amar Lalvani. “Now we are giving our loyal guests, and fans of what we do from around the world, the opportunity to live The Standard in a way that recognizes how the next generation wants to live. There is no better place to launch The Standard Residences than Miami, which has emerged as one of the most dynamic cities in the world, and just a place we love.”

“This project presents a new standard of living that is not defined by excess, it’s about soul and authenticity,” said Carlos Rosso, Founder of Rosso Development. “Coming to life in Miami’s most pedestrian-friendly and secure neighborhood, with everything you need at your fingertips, the building promotes a lifestyle rooted in community with a cool-factor that only The Standard can offer—all at an accessible price point.”

The Standard Residences, Midtown Miami has tapped the industry’s best talent for this debut. The building will be crafted by distinguished architects and designers, including award-winning Arquitectonica and Urban Robot. The building’s façade draws inspiration from the urban enclave’s storied past while connecting with the new energy of the neighborhood.

Residences will range in size from 432 square feet to 965 square feet and will express the ethos for which The Standard is known, meticulously designed interiors that provide that balance of style and functionality. Finishes include light wood plank tile flooring, gourmet kitchens with custom Italian cabinetry and Bosch appliances, while oversized bathrooms showcase stone vanities and double-suite rain showers.

"We endeavored to curate a distinctive residential experience, infused with the hospitality The Standard brand is known for,” said Giancarlo Pietri, Principal of Urban Robot Associates. “The vibe of the residences is tranquil in tone and texture— meant to evoke a sense of calm and comfort; While the public spaces nestled within are spirited and full of personality."

In step with other Standard properties, residents will enjoy thoughtfully designed social spaces and amenities spanning 34,000 square feet across five floors. The expansive lobby will inspire residents to connect, work and play – with lounge areas and a Café. A lushly landscaped rooftop creates an elevated outdoor experience with a 60-foot, resort-style sunset pool, and signature rooftop restaurant and bar reminiscent of the vibe The Standard pioneered from LA to New York to London.

Wellness offerings include a state-of-the-art sweat room and fitness center, an infrared sauna, an indoor pickleball court, and yoga and stretch studios. A social floor features a karaoke bar and screening room, while co-working spaces include a private boardroom and zoom rooms. A pet spa rounds out The Standard Residences’ anything but standard amenity package. In addition, the ground floor of the property will showcase 10,000 square feet of retail boutiques selected by The Standard’s in-house team.

A dedicated Standard concierge will be available around the clock to assist owners and direct cultural and community programming. Residents will also gain access to The Standard’s “Friends with Benefits” program, which earns them preferred pricing at all The Standard hotel properties around the world.

The Standard Residences will be located at 3100 NE 1st Avenue, Miami, FL 33137. The project is set to break ground in 2022 with expected completion by mid-2023.
