Perfectly timed with the city’s moment in the national spotlight—thanks to the Florida Panthers historic back-to-back Stanley Cup win—Riva Residenze is redefining waterfront living.
Nestled along the Intracoastal in Fort Lauderdale Beach, the 20-story, 36-residence tower is a collaboration between WellDuo, Vertical Developments, GCF Development, and iconic Italian yachtmaker Riva. Florida Panthers Capture Back-to-Back Stanley Cups, Cementing South Florida as a Hockey Dynasty
The Florida Panthers made history last night, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 5–1 in Game 6 to secure their second consecutive Stanley Cup title. The Florida Panthers made history last night, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 5–1 in Game 6 to secure their second consecutive Stanley Cup title. Led by a stunning four-goal performance from Sam Reinhart and backed by the stonewall goaltending of Sergei Bobrovsky, the Panthers dominated from puck drop to final horn. A sellout crowd at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise roared as the Cats played their signature hard-nosed, physical brand of hockey — swarming the puck, delivering big hits, and relentlessly pressuring the Oilers in all three zones. With deafening chants, flying rubber rats, and red rally towels in motion, fans created a raucous home-ice atmosphere that fueled a championship-clinching performance.
The 2025 playoff run showcased the Panthers' depth, grit, and dominance. They rolled through rivals Tampa Bay, Toronto, and Carolina before exacting revenge on Edmonton in a Stanley Cup rematch. Sam Bennett led the team with 15 playoff goals, earning the Conn Smythe Trophy, while veterans like Matthew Tkachuk, Brad Marchand, Aleksander Barkov, Carter Verhaeghe, Gustav Forsling, Seth Jones and Aaron Ekblad anchored a team that has now reached three straight Finals and won two. With their second championship in as many years, the “Red Reign” is officially underway—transforming Florida from an underdog to a full-fledged hockey dynasty in the making.
Beyond the ice, the Panthers’ success has sparked a surge in hockey’s popularity and economic impact across South Florida. From packed watch parties and celebratory parades to soaring merchandise sales and tourism boosts, the back-to-back wins are injecting over $200+ million into the local economy. Youth hockey participation is climbing, and the NHL is reportedly eyeing Miami for future marquee events. What once seemed like a long shot has now become reality: South Florida isn’t just a hockey town — it’s the hockey town.

In a city where sun, sand, and sophistication converge, Sereno Fort Lauderdale is raising the bar—literally—on amenity-driven living. The newly launched condominium development will introduce Fort Lauderdale’s first private rooftop pickleball court, a bold and innovative offering that places Sereno at the forefront of South Florida’s next generation of luxury real estate.
As part of the project’s wellness-focused rooftop, the pickleball court will be perched high above the city, offering unrivaled panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, and Fort Lauderdale skyline. The court is one of several standout features at Sereno Fort Lauderdale, a boutique collection of 76 upscale residences developed by Miami-based Integra Investments and Flying Point.
The introduction of rooftop pickleball speaks directly to the sport’s meteoric rise in popularity. According to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association’s 2025 Topline Participation Report, pickleball has been the fastest-growing sport in America for four consecutive years, with participation growing 311% and nearly 20 million Americans playing the sport in 2024 alone. This explosive growth has prompted developers to reimagine recreational amenities, and Sereno’s elevated court is among the most unique—and coveted—interpretations yet.
Sales at Sereno Fort Lauderdale are exclusively handled by ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, with pricing starting at $1.4 million. The project builds on the success of the developers’ previous venture, Sereno Bay Harbor, and brings a new level of modern sophistication to Fort Lauderdale’s evolving skyline.
Designed by FSMY Architects + Planners, with interiors by 1508 London and landscape design by Design Studio Boca, Sereno Fort Lauderdale is a celebration of elevated design and lifestyle. The glass-clad tower features expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, semi-private elevators, and spacious balconies that blur the line between indoor and outdoor living. Residences range from 1,080 to 2,400 square feet with one- to three-bedroom layouts, all outfitted with Italian kitchens, Subzero and Wolf appliances, spa-inspired primary suites, and optional dens ideal for a hybrid lifestyle.
The development spans two distinct rooftop levels. One is dedicated to relaxation, with a resort-style pool deck, summer kitchen, BBQ island, dining area, and lush landscaping set against stunning 360-degree views. The second rooftop is dedicated to health and wellness, anchored by the rooftop pickleball court and complemented by a state-of-the-art fitness center, Technogym equipment, infrared sauna, cold plunge, steam room, outdoor shower, and yoga lawn.
Additional amenities round out the luxury lifestyle, including a resident’s lounge, children’s playroom, pet spa, full-time valet with dedicated app service, EV charging stations, bike and water toy storage, and more.
Located at 2901 NE 9th Ct, Sereno Fort Lauderdale enjoys a prime coastal setting just steps from Fort Lauderdale Beach. The building is surrounded by top cultural and lifestyle destinations, including Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, Galleria Mall, and the vibrant North Beach Village. Residents are also within easy reach of the Coral Ridge Country Club, Sunrise Harbor Marina, and the shopping and dining mecca of Las Olas Boulevard.
Completion is expected in 2028, but with its forward-thinking design and headline-worthy amenities like the rooftop pickleball court, Sereno Fort Lauderdale is already making waves—and redefining what it means to live well in South Florida.

The Florida Panthers 'Red Reign': The Search For Back To Back Stanley Cup Championships While Creating Over $100+ Million Positive Economic Impact for South Florida
The Florida Panthers are back on home ice, ready to ignite the atmosphere in Amerant Bank Arena for Game 3 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. With the series tied 1-1, the teams are set for an epic showdown on Monday night at 8 PM ET.
South Florida is buzzing with excitement—cities across Broward County are gripped by “Red Reign,” as fans don their Panther gear with pride, eager to cheer on their team in pursuit of back-to-back championships. With their third consecutive trip to the Stanley Cup Final, the Fort Lauderdale DDA estimates that the Panthers prior two Stanley Cup runs alone generated more than $100 million in positive economic impact for Broward County, Fort Lauderdale and the South Florida region. Visit Lauderdale estimates the team has brought in an additional $30 million this 2025 postseason before the Panthers even drop the puck in a home game in the Stanley Cup Finals in Amerant Bank Arena.
The Panthers emerged on the national stage last season when they captured their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, defeating the same Oilers in an enthralling game 7. Now, as they make their third consecutive trip to the Stanley Cup Final, the fans are paying tribute to the team’s remarkable feat adding excitement to the Panthers’s resurgence beginning in the 2020-21 season. The Panthers’ success has been in a large part to owner Vincent Viola who purchased the team in 2013.
Florida has also now become an epicenter and hotbed for hockey with teams from Florida having reached the Stanley Cup and winning the Eastern Conference Final each of the past 6 years. The Florida Panthers in 2025, 2024 and 2023. The Tampa Bay Lighting in 2022, 2021 and 2020. The Lighting won back to back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021. The Panthers look to do the same in 2024 and 2025.
A Dramatic Start to the Series
The series began in Edmonton, where the Panthers faced a tight contest in Game 1, falling 4-3 after a heart-wrenching overtime loss. However, Game 2 proved to be a thrilling battle, with Brad Marchand netting the winning goal at 8:05 of the second overtime, sealing a 5-4 victory. This nail-biting come-from-behind win highlighted the Panthers' determination and ability to thrive under pressure, mirroring their playoff success in recent years.
As the Panthers prepare for Game 3, they will rely on their stars: Aleksander Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk, Carter Verhaeghe, and goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, among others, to lead the charge once again. The fortitude exhibited in Edmonton gives them momentum as they return to Sunrise, where they have been nothing short of spectacular all season.
Economic Boom for South Florida
The Panthers' success on the ice has not only reinvigorated local pride but also spawned a significant economic impact in Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding South Florida region. Following last year’s Stanley Cup Final, estimates indicated that four home playoff games generated an incredible $25 million in economic activity alone, and this year is expected to surpass that figure. In total the past three trips to the final have resulted in an estimated $100 million positive economic benefit to Broward County and the surrounding South Florida region. Visit Lauderdale estimates the team has brought in an additional $30 million this 2025 postseason before the Panthers drop the puck in a home game in the Stanley Cup Finals in Amerant Bank Arena.
As hockey fever sweeps South Florida, local establishments, including bars, restaurants, and hotels, are reaping the benefits. This year alone, estimates suggest an additional $30 million in revenue due directly to the Panthers' impressive playoff run. Hotels around the new IcePlex practice facility report occupancy rates soaring by 30-40%, while ticket resale prices for regular-season games at Amerant Bank Arena have skyrocketed by 46.7%.
The reverberating effects of the “Red Reign” can be felt throughout the local economy, with watch parties attracting thousands and tourism booming as hockey fans flock to the area. The revitalization of infrastructure surrounding the team’s practice rink, including public ice rinks, restaurants, and a concert venue, stands as a testament to the positive economic transformation.
The Panthers invested more than $65 million into the redevelopment of their 144,000 SF IcePlex as part of the revitalization of Holiday Park. The IcePlex serves as their official practice rink as well as recreational ice rinks and an entertainment venue. The facility has boosted youth hockey participation in South Florida and has brought the Panthers closer to the community.
Panthers' Journey and Future Prospects
The Florida Panthers, founded in 1993, have risen from years of playoff drought to become towering contenders in the NHL. Once struggling to secure victories in the postseason, the team has now transformed its fortunes, qualifying for the playoffs each year since the 2020-21 season and bolstering their legacy with consecutive Final appearances.
As the city enthusiastically prepares for Game 3, the hope for another historic championship run is palpable. The "Red Reign" is not just about hockey; it is about community, pride, and the economic revitalization of Fort Lauderdale. The fate of the coveted Stanley Cup remains fiercely uncertain, but one thing is clear: the Florida Panthers have united an entire region—a fitting narrative for a team that has found its identity in the heart of South Florida.
Join thousands of fans on Monday night at Amerant Bank Arena or at watch parties around town to witness history in the making as the Florida Panthers vie for a second consecutive championship.

Naftali Group, in collaboration with Miami-based architecture firm Arquitectonica and New York City-based interior design firm Rockwell Group, has crafted a modern design with nods to resort-style and nautical themes for Viceroy Residences Fort Lauderdale inspired by the flowing patterns of sea and sand, as well as the city’s rich sailing and yachting heritage. Emphasizing movement and light, the use of champagne bronze bands and subtle curved details add a refined elegance to the building’s facade while enhancing its contemporary aesthetic.
Upon entering, the grand, double-height lobby will feature a lushly landscaped exterior plaza and translucent screens that naturally filter light, mimicking the movement of water and coastal breezes. A monolithic desk with curved nautical shapes anchors the space, drawing residents and guests further inward. Cultural and experienced concierge staff will be available to assist with travel, transportation, entertainment and private services.
Residences will feature open-concept layouts with floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors as well as generously sized terraces for seamless indoor-outdoor living, allowing for maximized views of Downtown Fort Lauderdale and views of the Atlantic Ocean from higher floors. Kitchens will feature Italian cabinetry with a light oak finish and Calacatta Miraggio Gold quartz slab countertops. Bathrooms are adorned with stunning Porcelanosa Rivoli white ceramic tile that creates a timeless backdrop. A luxurious Bianco Dolomite marble vanity tops provide a sleek and refined touch, perfectly complemented by Italian vanity cabinets finished in a light oak veneer for a warm, natural look. Polished nickel faucets and fixtures add a final touch of timeless sophistication.
