Debuting in the charming Buena Vista neighborhood, La Màrtola is bringing a taste of culinary treasures from the Italian, French, and Spanish Rivieras for a unique, alfresco dining experience. Debuting in the charming Buena Vista neighborhood, La Màrtola is bringing a taste of culinary treasures from the Italian, French, and Spanish Rivieras for a unique, alfresco dining experience. The concept was created by esteemed partners - hospitality impresario Paolo Domeneghetti and Martino de Rosa, founder of the internationally acclaimed La Filiale in Italy, made famous by Netflix’s Chef’s Table. Hailing from New York City and Italy, respectively, both partners have come together to bring the European philosophy of generous, warm hospitality to Buena Vista, starring pizza made with 36-hour Italian dough, fresh local fish, farm-raised meats, and a world-class gelato program curated by Italian master gelataio, Simone Bonini.

Meals are filled with aromas from the Stefano Ferrara wood-fired pizza oven and custom-made wood grill by Grillworks with a gently illuminated open-air setting reminiscent of the coast of Saint Tropez, Marbella, or Portofino. The intimate bar at La Màrtola showcases a carefully selected collection of spirits, classic cocktails, and a wine list brimming with personality.

“La Màrtola is the culmination of our passion for dining that is casually elegant, creatively simple, and uniquely familiar. We highlight the simplicity and quality of classics, blending tradition and innovation to create a space that inspires the art of savoring life,” says owner Paolo Domeneghetti.

Menu highlights include Farm-Fresh Oysters; Orata Crudo with Ciliegini tomatoes & Taggiasca olives; Bluefin Akami Tuna Tartare with Mediterranean gin, grapefruit & orange; and traditional plates like Lobster Salad, Paleta Ibérica con Chips, grilled Turbot and the Bistecca Fiorentina. Presented family-style, these dishes capture the aura of this oasis, alongside house specialties like Olive Ascolane, Fried Cremini, and Farm-Fresh Heirloom Tomatoes.

La Filiale is at the helm of La Màrtola’s pizza program, presenting an array of Neapolitan-style pizzas, including our favorite - the Carbonara. Each pizza is a testament to the art of pizza making, featuring ingredients freshly imported from Naples and a secret, naturally fermented 'impasto' prepared in-house daily.

The wine list features select categories: Champagne, Burgundy, Barolo, Rosé, and a "pocket list" showcasing special bottlings from winemaker "Friends of La Màrtola”. Cocktails include a variety of signature and classic drinks, as well as aromatic and herbal spritzes, using local and natural ingredients. La Màrtola is located at 4702 Northeast 2nd Avenue and will be open daily from lunch to dinner - 12 PM to 10:30 PM - with a seasonal menu alongside fresh and ever-changing daily specials. TWO MICHELIN STARRED CHEF TO OPEN SEREIA IN COCONUT GROVE

Renowned Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, known for his two-Michelin star restaurant Alma, has unveiled his latest culinary endeavor, Sereia, located in Miami's Coconut Grove district. This venture signifies the beginning of a collaboration between Sá Pessoa and Sault Hospitality, a partnership established by Miami hospitality experts Jourdan Binder, Sven Vogtland, and Alan Drummond.

Renowned Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, famous for his two-Michelin star restaurant Alma, has unveiled his latest culinary endeavor, Sereia, located in Miami's Coconut Grove. This venture signifies the beginning of a collaboration between Sá Pessoa and Sault Hospitality, a partnership established by Miami hospitality experts Jourdan Binder, Sven Vogtland, and Alan Drummond.

Sereia is a modern, seafood-forward restaurant inspired by the Iberian coast and Sá Pessoa’s travels, a cumulation of flavors from his rich culinary history paired with a lifetime of experience working in some of the best restaurants around the world.

Sereia's culinary focus is its seafood offerings, presenting a diverse selection of imported and locally-sourced catches. From the coveted Carabineiro (Scarlett Prawn) sourced from the deep, cold waters off the coast of Algarve in Southern Portugal, served with seafood rice, to the classic Cataplana fish stew, seafood takes center stage on the menu. Guests can indulge in main courses such as the suckling pork confit featuring black pigs from the Iberian peninsula or visit the crudo bar for an interactive experience, allowing chefs to guide diners through a thoughtfully curated tasting menu.

The bar program showcases expertly crafted cocktails that reflect the essence of Sá Pessao’s menu, incorporating key ingredients. The 'Iberian Mist' is a blend of Croft Brandy, Madeira, peach, and cinnamon, with a tableside presentation finished using an Iberico Ham essence made from reduced Iberico trimmings. Embracing the significance of port wine in Portuguese culture, the 'Blue Port and Tonic' features white port wine, celery, Blue Magik powder, bitter orange, and elderflower tonic.

Located in the heart of Coconut Grove on Main Highway, Sereia's 125-seat venue includes indoor and outdoor dining, a full bar, a private dining room for up to 12 guests offering curated chef’s tasting menus, and a crudo bar, embodying simplicity, approachability, and an underlying elegance. Sereia will be open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday, 6-11 pm. Address: 3540 Main Highway, Miami, FL.

As Miami continues to evolve as an international destination for culinary innovation and vibrant nightlife, Villa One Tequila, co-founded by celebrities Nick Jonas and menswear designer John Varvatos, is bringing the essence of Mexico’s finest to Miami Worldcenter, the $6 billion mixed-use development activating Miami’s urban core. Designed for creating unforgettable experiences, Villa One Tequila Gardens will offer guests an exotic escape to unwind after work in the heart of Downtown Miami with over 150 tequila and mezcal options and Baja-style Mexican food.

With vast views of the Downtown Miami skyline, the main dining room will feature a raw bar and tequila tasting room with a tequila sommelier and an intimate speakeasy operated by a soon-to-be announced nightlife brand.

As one of the largest privately owned and developed urban real estate developments in Florida, Miami Worldcenter, which is currently coming alive in phases, features a diverse mix of residential, commercial and hospitality uses complemented by a total of 300,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space. More than 93% of the development’s retail space is leased as of February 2024.

Miami Worldcenter is being developed by master developers Miami Worldcenter Associates, led by Managing Partners Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani, in partnership with CIM Group.

It is an example of our focus on activating the property’s outdoor spaces and rooftops to provide a wealth of opportunities for guests to enjoy the beautiful setting and area views,” said Shaul Kuba, Co-Founder and Principal, CIM Group.

Miami Worldcenter is now home to three completed residential towers – PARAMOUNT Miami Worldcenter, Caoba, and Bezel Miami. Additionally, construction is nearing completion at Lalezarian’s 52-story Miami World Tower 1, which will comprise 550 apartment units; at Legacy Hotel & Residences, a 50-story mixed-use tower with 310 branded residences atop a hotel and 50,000 square feet of medical office space; at the second phase of Caoba, which will encompass an adjacent 40-story tower with 420 apartments; and at The Crosby, a 450-unit turn-key condominium by Related Group and Merrimac Ventures.

Planned developments include three additional residential towers developed by Lalezarian with 2,000 multifamily units; 600 Miami Worldcenter, a 579-unit fully furnished condominium by Aria Development Group and Merrimac Ventures; JEM Private Residences, a 67-story mixed use luxury residential tower with 259 condos and about 500 apartment units by New York-based developer Naftali Group; a two-tower mixed-use residential and commercial development by Abbhi Capital; and a three-tower mixed-use residential project by The Witkoff Group.

Complementing Miami Worldcenter’s retail streets will be World Square, a 20,000-square-foot outdoor public plaza and park. Designed as a central gathering place, World Square will serve as the heartbeat of the development featuring an abundance of open space, shade trees, and oversized, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks lined with dining, entertainment, and retail concepts.

Miami Worldcenter’s $5 million public art initiative – curated by international art dealer Jeffrey Deitch and Miami-based curatorial collective PRIMARY – transforms the streets and buildings of the 27-acre ‘city within a city’ into a permanent outdoor art museum. Affiliates of Gencom, an international owner, developer and manager of hospitality and residential properties, has retaken majority ownership in the 291-key Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. The transaction was financed by Citigroup and affiliates of KSL Capital Partners, LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Situated at 455 Grand Bay Drive, the 275,000-square-foot Ritz-Carlton resort rises over 13 stories on Miami’s barrier island of Key Biscayne. The upscale resort features 1,000 feet of beachfront access, along with several swimming pools, a Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center, Caribbean-inspired spa and fitness center, The Club Lounge, six restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as 37,000 square feet of meeting and event space. We look forward to achieving the property’s full potential by embarking on a renovation to ensure it remains a top luxury resort as Miami’s international epicenter continues to expand,” said Karim Alibhai, founder of Gencom.

After developing the 17-acre property in 2000, Gencom sold its majority interest to a private REIT in a three property, $750 million transaction.

"This investment is another example of KSL's long-term commitment to its core thesis within the hospitality sector, but also our more recent expansion into structured partnerships with like-minded firms like Gencom through our Tactical Opportunities vehicle."

Gencom is planning a comprehensive $100 million renovation of the resort, slated to start in 2025, which will include major upgrades to the guestrooms, food & beverage offerings, public spaces and guest amenities.

Andrew Mayer, Co-Founder of OG Hospitality Group and James Beard nominee and finalist, Brad Kilgore are joining forces on an imaginative endeavor coming this winter - Miami’s first Itameshi concept, Oise Ristorante by Brad Kilgore.

Wynwood’s top talents are teaming up to unveil a new kind of cuisine for the magic city. Andrew Mayer, Co-Founder of OG Hospitality Group and James Beard nominee and finalist, Brad Kilgore are joining forces on an imaginative endeavor coming this winter - Miami’s first Itameshi concept, Oise Ristorante by Brad Kilgore.

Itameshi blends traditional elements of Italian and Japanese cuisine developing a unique umami flavor. Kilgore will put a new spin on classic Italian dishes using Japanese flavors, ingredients and techniques.

Similar to the OG Hospitality Group model, Oise will be innovative, unpretentious and affordable. This will be Kilgore's first quick-service concept since he opened his BBQ concept during the pandemic, Alter. Throughout the years, both entrepreneurs have been incredibly loyal and dedicated to Wynwood. In 2015, Kilgore made his mark in Wynwood when he opened Alter and just last year, debuted Marygold’s Brasserie. Mayer brought his California meets Hawaiian concept, Poke OG at the inception of 1-800-Lucky in 2017 and since then moved his location to Oasis along with his new sushi counter, Miss Crispy Rice.

Kilgore said, “I’m a huge fan and advocate for the quick-service model since that’s how I often dine-out because of time constraints and budget.” Mayer discovered Itameshi cuisine during his last trip to California and wanted to be the first Miami restaurant to offer these new flavors. He added, “When Andrew approached me about partnering, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to create something approachable, fun and affordable for all types of audiences. The menu at Oise is all about exploring new flavors without breaking the bank, we want guests to be able to come back for more and more.”

Oise will also be the first Miami restaurant to use pizza from Kilgore’s newest project, Pizza Freak Co. The superior quality will be highlighted in their Japanese inspired Itameshi Pizza topped with Italian herbs, scallions, shredded nori and pickled cherry peppers ($17). Pizza Freak Co. will be available in early 2024 locally in Miami, and currently can be shipped to your doorstep from online at www.pizzafreakco.com.

Other menu highlights include a massive and never before seen, Chicken Parm Katsu Sando filled with dashi brined crispy chicken, smoked mozzarella, umami pomodoro, dipped into a caper kewpie-chili crisp ($24), a signature Udon Carbonara folded with jidori egg yolk, black truffle, toasted black sesame, and parmesan and pecorino cheeses ($25), Cacio Pepe Breadstick (made by Pizza Freak Co.) served with peppercorn miso alfredo ($14) or upgrade with an uni fondue (+$7), handcrafted Fettuccine Pomodoro pasta with an umami spiked italian pomodoro, basil, olive oil, ichimi chili flake and yuzu butter ($19), Tuna Nigiri brushed with tamari-calabrian chili ponzu and topped with crispy garlic ($18) and a Kakigori shaved ice dessert infused with dark cherry, layered with pistachio gelato, yuzu whipped cream and drizzled fun sprinkles ($14).

Chef Kilgore will also be creating Sake Slushies. Guests will be able to stay refreshed with frozen delights like a yuzu margarita, and a strawberry rendition — both infused with sake. An eclectic sake bottle selection will also be available along with curated wines and beers. All walk-ins are welcome and guests will be able to dine-in a casual and relaxed atmosphere or on their outdoor patio and lounge area.

Oise Ristorante by Brad Kilgore will be located at 2335 N Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33127, next to Miss Crispy Rice at Oasis. The pop-up will kickoff on December 21st and continue until early summer of 2024. Hours of operation will be Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday from 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 12p.m. - 11 p.m.
