Newgard Development Group To Bring Acclaimed NY Restaurant AVRA Estiatorio To LOFTY Brickell
Newgard Development Group has revealed that the acclaimed Greek restaurant AVRA Estiatorio will be opening in LOFTY Brickell, a 44-story waterfront luxury condominium high-rise under development on the Miami River in the heart of Miami’s Brickell financial district. AVRA transports diners to the Greece Islands with its decor and cuisine including incomparably fresh seafood, vegetables and hand-pressed extra-virgin olive oil.
Forward-thinking real estate developer Newgard Development Group has revealed that the acclaimed Greek restaurant AVRA Estiatorio will be opening in LOFTY Brickell, a 44-story waterfront luxury condominium high-rise under development on the Miami River in the heart of Miami’s financial district. A collaboration between co-founders Nick Tsoulos, Nick Pashalis and Marc Packer, AVRA is a destination that transports diners to the whitewashed islands of Greece with its decor and cuisine including incomparably fresh seafood, vegetables and hand-pressed extra-virgin olive oil.
LOFTY is already one of the Miami condo market’s most successfully sold buildings and the most elevated offering in Newgard Development’s flexible ownership concept. AVRA’s flagship New York location opened on East 48th Street in 2000; today the brand has two more Manhattan locales, another in Beverly Hills, and most recently opened a fifth location at The Estates at Acqualina™ in Sunny Isles Beach. LOFTY will be the restaurant’s second South Florida location.
“We were looking to curate the right restaurant partner that is aligned with the elevated lifestyle that defines our LOFTY brand,” said Newgard Development Group CEO Harvey Hernandez. “AVRA offers a wonderfully creative menu and truly unique dining experience that fully complements the vibe we aim to create for our owners and guests.”
With interiors designed by Rockwell Group, AVRA Brickell will occupy more than 10,000 square feet and have a 300-seat main dining room along with elegant outdoor seating overlooking the Miami River. Other design elements will include a spacious bar area, an expansive seafood display on ice similar to those found at traditional Greek markets, and a sleek aesthetic inspired by the Greek village of Nafpaktos, where Avra’s co-founder Nick Tsoulos was born and brought up.
AVRA’s cuisine is inspired by the seaside tavernas dotted all over Greece’s coast and more than 200 islands. The menu offers iterations of fresh fish with familiar favorites such as branzino, red snapper and wild Dover sole, as well as rarer Mediterranean gems like fagri and lithrini. Picking your seafood from the ice display that features in-season catch is a signature part of the AVRA experience.
The wine program is as impressive as the food with a list that includes more than 1,200 varieties and spans the globe. When it comes to spirits, AVRA’s options number in the hundreds and include 25 varieties. Greek spirits are part of the mix with ouzos and mastichas, and the cocktails are creative and a nod to Greece.
Michael Comras, Michael Silverman and Jeff Evans of the Comras Company of Florida facilitated the lease transaction.
“AVRA is a world-class restaurant that aligns nicely with the LOFTY brand and provides further activation along the Miami River,” said Comras. “We are pleased to be associated with this innovative residential project and look forward to curating other exciting lifestyle-brands for Newgard.”
Designed by Arquitectonica, the 362-unit LOFTY features 309 tower residences including studio, one- and two-bedroom units alongside 40,000 square feet of thoughtfully curated amenities, including a private marina, a members-only social club, resort pool deck and fitness center, indoor/outdoor cigar lounge, co-working lounge and meeting rooms.
LOFTY’s 53-unit Penthouse Collection offers spacious two, three and three-bedroom plus den residences that are curated and will be furnished by revered design firm Artefacto. Penthouse prices range from $1.95 million to over $3.5 million.
Located directly across from Brickell City Centre, LOFTY is the next evolution of condo ownership, conceived to bring a 5-star alternative for the owner and traveler that might prefer to stay and own differently – yet does not want to compromise on the services and amenities of a hotel. Each residence will be delivered fully finished and furnished and, with professional management, will permit short-term rentals.
Cervera Real Estate serves as the exclusive sales and marketing partner for LOFTY Brickell. LOFTY Brickell is located at 99 SW Seventh St., Miami, FL 33130.

After a successful first run in Miami Beach this past summer, the cutting-edge, aquatic journey, Hidden Worlds, has returned for February 2023 and will run through March 4th. Miami’s immersive underwater wonderland, Hidden Worlds Entertainment Inc. – an impactainment company creating attractions with a purpose – has teamed up with The Islands of The Bahamas to present, ‘Our Ocean, Our Future’, an educational and entertaining marine journey to promote planet stewardship and bring awareness to ocean conservation. After much anticipation, the riveting oceanic adventure came to life from Wednesday, February 15 – Wednesday, March 4, 2023 at Ampersand Studios in Wynwood.
Using the latest digital projection technology, 360-degree audio environments and immersive fine dining, Hidden Worlds showcases the wonders of the world’s at-risk ocean ecosystems. The “Our Ocean, Our World” experience will engage the senses (smell, sight, and sound) of guests through immersive art displays. The 360-degree photographic experience offers guests the opportunity to surround themselves in the deepest oceans and most majestic mangroves, while learning the impact they have on the world.
Daniel Hettwer, Hidden Worlds Entertainment CEO, is thrilled to unite with The Bahamas, a destination sharing the same philosophy to ultimately save the ocean.
“Everyone is drawn in by the outward beauty of The Bahamas and in this case, we’re focusing on the ‘inner beauty,’ specifically their conservation efforts. The nation has been a leader in banning single use plastics and has always prioritized shark conservation,” said Daniel Hettwer. “Our charity partner, Beneath the Waves, has discovered the world’s largest seagrass meadow by studying tiger shark migration patterns. This area is estimated to be the world’s largest blue carbon sink benefitting all of humanity. It is unlikely that this discovery would have been made without shark conservation by The Bahamas.”
Daytime shows are held from 12:00 P.M. 5:00 P.M. daily while the two immersive fine-dining experiences begin at 6:00 P.M. and 8:30 PM Wednesday through Sunday evenings. In addition, following dinner on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the underwater wonderland will feature an extended lounge experience, where the underwater wonderland will be synced to the music of some of Miami’s top DJs.
In theme of their new partnership with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, the Hidden Worlds’ ‘Our Ocean, Our Future’ experience gives attendees even more climactic scenery, cutting-edge technology and interactive experiences. The enhancements include Art Installations by local Miami and Bahamian artists such as famed Bahamian muralist, Angelika Wallace-Whitfield and AI Art powerhouse Seyhan Lee, who will showcase an innovative coral experience.
The immersive dining experience is led by Hidden Worlds’ Executive Chef Scott Linquist, Co-Founder of COYO Taco and Serena Rooftop; with Bahamian, Executive Chef Kevyn Pratt, the personal chef to former Miami Heat player, Dwayne Wade and actress Gabrielle Union. The pair offer an ocean positive, multi-course menu, inspired by the flavors of The Bahamas. Throughout the evening, a dinner will be orchestrated where the tables will come alive as the dishes, marine-themed cocktails by renowned Bahamian mixologist, Marv “Mr. Mix Cunningham” and projections will be synced together for a coordinated experience. A vegan menu is also available upon request.
Tickets can be purchased from www.ourhiddenworlds.com/bahamas. A percentage of ticket sales from the daytime and evening experiences will also benefit the charity, Beneath the Waves. The non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting ocean health using science and technology to catalyze ocean policy and protect threatened species.

Established in 2011, Kith is both a multifunctional lifestyle brand as well as a progressive retail establishment.
Kith has opened its second Miami location in Miami Design District, including Miami’s inaugural Sadelle’s at Kith restaurant with Major Food Group and a standalone Kith Treats store. This new store is two stories and will carry Kith’s in-house and multi-brand ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear offerings for men, women and kids. Established in 2011, Kith is both a multifunctional lifestyle brand as well as a progressive retail establishment. Kith offer an array of premium products, ranging from their own in-house label to a highly-curated luxury selection of multi-brand apparel and footwear.
The Kith Miami Design District concept mirrors that of Kith’s signature retail designs, transposed against details that embody modern elements the Miami neighborhood is known for. With this retail expansion Kith continues to offer its customers a unique shopping experience reflective of the location’s environment.
The brand’s quintessential neutral color palette is juxtaposed alongside vibrant shades of green, incorporated through the interior landscape design as a small nod to Miami’s natural beauty. Santa Margherita Rosa Perlino, Perlato Royal and Carrara marble floors and structures are woven alongside wavy fluted plaster, birch wood, brass and painted gypsum throughout both floors. The result is a sophisticated atmosphere that is light and expansive, as designed by Kith’s Founder and Creative Director Ronnie Fieg.
“Evolving and expanding our spaces with tact is as challenging as it is motivating. Each store must feel completely unique while retaining the red thread that runs through all of our flagships. Our new Miami Design District location feels like a true notch in our timeline. It marks our first standalone Kith Treats bar, as well as our first US Sadelle’s at Kith restaurant. After opening our first one in Paris with Jeff and Major Food Group a few years ago, I’m excited to bring our partnership to Miami.” - Ronnie Fieg, Founder and Creative Director, Kith.
Upon entering, a circular structure centers the space separating the menswear from the womenswear. A deep hallway of changing rooms with birch paneled walls and ceilings is located at the rear of the showroom. Floor to ceiling windows flood the staircase with natural light, providing strong visual contrast against the white floating steps that connect the main level to the second floor. Once upstairs, customers are met with ribbed fabric walls across the expansive circular shoe room, providing a moment of warmth against the otherwise minimal design.
Further into the second floor is Sadelle’s at Kith bringing Major Food Group’s renowned New York restaurant to the Miami Design District. Kith and Major first collaborated on Sadelle’s at Kith Paris before expanding the brand with the Miami opening. White washed ash walls with picture frame molding are met by a checkerboard floor, fluted ming green counter and fluted Carrara marble header, creating a space that is both polished and inviting. Sadelle’s at Kith Miami will offer the restaurant's signature menu items including its infamous brunch.
"Major Food Group and Kith's partnership developed naturally out of mutual respect and our shared New York DNA. Our first collaboration launched in Paris, and we couldn’t be more proud to bring our beloved Sadelle's to our new home in the Miami Design District.” Said Jeff Zalaznick, Major Food Group Co-Founder.
In addition, Kith introduces the brand's first permanent standalone Kith Treats outpost, located directly across the street from Kith’s retail location, at 84 NE 41st Street. A circular bar of Rosa Portugalo marble centralizes the 1,000 square foot space against Carrara marble barstools and stainless-steel accents, highlighted by Kith Treats’ discernible parlor-style cereal canister wall. The location will serve new exclusive Signature Specials created by friends and family of Kith, and for guests seated at the counter, an extended menu of original Belgian waffle offerings with custom Kith branding. The space will also stock the brand’s global inline apparel capsules.
Kith was founded by Ronnie Fieg, a prominent figure in the footwear industry, who has over twenty years of hands-on experience. Conceptualizing Kith as an extension of himself, Fieg seeks to shift the current landscape of fashion, while operating under a personal philosophy of giving the consumer more than what they pay for.
To celebrate the opening, Ronnie Fieg and ASICS reprise their long-standing partnership by introducing the GEL-LYTE III Remastered – Super Yellow. A return of the exact dimensions featured on the inaugural pair that Fieg introduced in 2007 when he began his partnership with the brand. The silhouette features original key GEL-LYTE III elements including a nubuck upper, split tongue and the classic form stripes that the brand is known for in a suede orange execution. The duo also brought back the original ASICS box and hang tags.
The Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-LYTE III Remastered – Super Yellow will commemorate the opening of the Kith Miami Design District flagship. It will launch later at Kith’s international locations as well as Kith.com & EU.Kith.com.
Kith Miami Design District is located at 69 NE 41st Street Miami, Florida 33137.

With plans to open the flagship outpost in Q2 2024, Abraham Merchant and Richard Cohn are bringing the brand's legacy of sophisticated Beijing-inspired dining to One Ocean in the heart of the South of Fifth neighborhood.
New York-based restaurant Philippe by Philippe Chow has signed a 15 year lease to occupy the coveted restaurant space at One Ocean South Beach which was acquired by Robert Rivani’s Black Lion Investment Group in November 2022. With plans to open the flagship outpost in Q2 2024, Abraham Merchant and Richard Cohn are bringing the brand's legacy of sophisticated Beijing-inspired dining to Black Lion’s entire ground floor space at One Ocean in the heart of the South of Fifth neighborhood.
“Landing a legendary restaurant brand with an incredible following is in step with Black Lion’s vision to curate an epicenter for elevated dining and nightlife experiences,” said Robert Rivani. “Philippe by Philippe Chow will deliver a culinary cornerstone unique to the neighborhood and is the perfect fit for its future.”
Philippe by Philippe Chow will occupy 13,500+ square-feet on the corner of South Pointe and Ocean Drive. Attached to multi-million dollar residential condos, the space interiors span 10,000-square-feet with 3,500-square-feet of exteriors. An iconic restaurant for almost two decades, Philippe Chow’s first, and now flagship, location opened in Uptown Manhattan in 2005. Since then, the restaurant remained an undisputed favorite among New York City’s power crowd—including athletes, musicians and film stars—who crave Chef Chow’s interpretation on traditional Chinese cuisine.
Known for his modern, flavorful, and theatrical style, Chef Philippe Chow—the brand’s visionary and namesake—is world-renowned for his lavish, Beijing-style dishes and pioneered the way for fine-dining Chinese cuisine in the U.S.
“The expansion of Philippe Chow to such an iconic location in this taste-making gateway city is a key milestone for the brand both here in the United States and overseas,” says Abraham Merchant, president and CEO of Philippe Chow.
This will be Philippe by Philippe Chow’s southern flagship in the United States, following its Washington DC Wharf outpost opening in April of 2023, along with a downtown Nashville location targeted for a 2024 Q1 opening. In addition to the US expansion, the Middle East expansion continues, in addition to a multi-unit agreement in KSA, a new agreement in Kuwait City has been signed, and discussions are proceeding in Egypt and Dubai.
With nearly two decades of storied history, the Chinese eatery is a carefully crafted offering where substance drives notoriety. Meticulously designed signature dishes are infused with the flavor of Chow’s upbringing and made with the freshest ingredients, including the legendary Peking Duck, carved tableside for an unparalleled experience.
Black Lion was represented by Fabio Faerman and Sebastian Faerman with FA Commercial, while Philippe Chow was represented by Jeremy Modest and Ryan Tucker of RIPCO Real Estate.
“We were thrilled to work with Phillipe Chow to support the company’s expansion to South Florida. The Miami market continues to showcase strength and remains an attractive location for world class operators,” said Jeremy Modest, Executive Managing Director at RIPCO Real Estate. Our goal at RIPCO Florida is to help guide the best tenants New York City has to offer down to Florida by focusing on finding excellent locations and the right Landlord’s to partner with which was demonstrated in our work with Philippe Chow.
Specializing in ownership of flagship restaurant properties, Rivani’s vision for Black Lion’s transformative “Restaurant Row” along South Pointe Drive is now complete, with Philippe by Philippe Chow anchoring One Ocean South Beach, Catch Miami Beach opening at the Continuum high-rise this fall, and Marea Condominium’s multi-restaurant space reaching 100% occupancy with Kosushi Miami, a Brazilian-based Michelin Star restaurant; RED, a locals-favorite steakhouse; and a soon-to-be-announced, world-renowned tenant.
Since 2022, Black Lion has secured over $100 million in acquisitions across South Florida with a rapidly expanding portfolio of restaurant/hospitality properties from Miami Beach to Wynwood, Brickell and Downtown – including the space for Gekko by David Grutman x Bad Bunny; Amara at Paraiso with chef Michael Schwartz; Wynwood Jungle with a newly opened Fable rooftop restaurant; the ground floor of Zaha Hadid’s iconic One Thousand Museum; and Delilah at Brickell Bay boardwalk.

Giselle’s 14-seat marble-adorned Bar presents an idyllic space for guests to sip and savor her signature libations. Offering guests an added multimedia art experience, an animated digital art display cases the wall behind the Bar and showcases the work of Miami-based filmmaker and producer Frank Kelly. An intimate Lounge/Terrace area extends from the Bar, offering comfortable lounge seating and elegant black marble embellished dining tables set against Miami's evening skyline. Separating this space from the central dining area within the venue, a double-sided mirrored sign spells out, in neon fluorescence, the spoken words of Giselle: “I’ll be here, if by chance, you’ll be here too.”
Giselle’s Central Dining area houses a thoughtful curation of table settings to accommodate varied restaurant-goers party sizes – from cozy tables for two all the way up to larger seatings for ten. “Being in the Miami market for over 15 years, and witnessing the city’s rapid growth, I saw an opportunity with the historic Paris Theatre to create an uber luxurious, selective, one-of-a-kind fine dining and nightlife destination. Miami has recently experienced an influx of some of the most influential people in the country, so we decided to go after this demographic, a more sophisticated, educated, elevated, and more mature type of clientele. Our goal will be to create the most beautiful, interesting, diverse, and fun mix of people possible, on any given night.” Said Mathieu Massa, entrepreneur, restaurateur, and sole owner of Queen Miami Beach.
Ushering in a new era of extravagance, Queen Restaurant & Lounge is designed to see and be seen. Extending the ultimate dining experience, the restaurant seamlessly blends superb Japanese cuisine and world-class hospitality, with today’s bold modernity of elevated nightlife to evoke a new era of posh, Miami has yet to see. With renowned interior designer Carlos Rodriguez of ModPlay Studio at the helm of Queen Miami Beach’s unrivaled design, guests will be amazed at the awe-inspiring reimagination of the space inspired by the preserved architectural details from the ‘40s.
Upon entering the golden doors, guests will be wowed by a custom mosaic handmade in Italy, sensual terrazzo floors, and a mid-century, brass chandelier from J.T. Kalmar. The convivial black and white mural located in the front entrance vestibule by local Miami Artist Gonzalo Fuenmayor was inspired by the exuberant Brazilian entertainer Carmen Miranda.
Follow the main entrance’s curved Art Deco passageway, made of brass slat, to The Salon Lounge where you’ll be met by ever-so exquisite Lobmeyr chandeliers - famously unveiled at the Metropolitan Opera House in 1966, original Paris Theater crown molding motifs refinished in gold leaf, and a gorgeous Calacatta Viola marble bar.
Arrive at the grandiose main dining room, mezzanine floors, or the members-only VIP Lounge to experience an orchestrated dance of space and depth, textures and context, lighting, and sound. Get a glimpse of the fine-dining kitchen through custom-looking glass windows as you approach the sensational Mondrian wall, the dining room’s awe-inspiring focal point. Take in unparalleled architectural and interior details as they unfold, reaching a zenith as you watch the LED-paneled Dome ceiling transform.
World-renowned Chef Julien Jouhannaud, known to oversee several Michelin-starred restaurants in New York and most recently led the culinary teams at Annabelle’s in London, serves as Queen Miami Beach’s Chief Culinary Officer overseeing local Chef Mitchell Hesse, leading as Queen Miami Beach’s Executive Chef. Queen Restaurant & Lounge will take guests on a 5-star culinary journey through Japanese gastronomic traditions, matched with a modern approach. Dishes range from small plates to a curated raw and marinated section to sushi platters and seafood towers, which then segue into heartier main courses. American classics are reimagined through a Japanese lens with a focus on wood-fired grilling via a Josper Charcoal Oven and two Robata Flame Grills. A premier hand-selected butcher’s program revolves around the highest-grade American and Japanese Wagyu and exclusive Prime Grass-fed beef, while sushi offerings complement the dining experience with the finest seafood sourced from Japan and beyond. Desserts will be both sculptural and elegant, offering a sweet ending and a fitting coda to the extravagant dining experience.
An extensive cocktail program will encompass libations that incorporate fresh ingredients and Japanese spirits, while a separate world-class wine and champagne list will offer an elite selection from exclusive labels and boutique producers, including a unique partnership with the luxurious Louis XIII.
The distinct ‘Salon Lounge’ area will house Queen Miami Beach’s main bar, which will offer a selection of craft cocktails. The Salon Lounge bar will also serve as an after-dinner drinks destination or a spot to have an elegant nightcap while enjoying the venue’s lively atmosphere until late in the evening.
A covert ‘Omakase Counter’ will live on the second floor and peek out into the main dining room below, catering to those looking for chef’s selection of delicately composed nigiri and traditional dishes. From the exclusive theater balconies, guests will glimpse at the culinary fireworks occurring below, as dishes of exquisite Japanese cuisine are paraded through the plush dining room.

Fabel Miami, a new open-air rooftop restaurant and lounge by owner Matthew Rosenberg and his award-winning architecture firm, M-Rad, is now open at Wynwood Jungle, the experiential dining and retail destination transformed by Black Lion’s Robert Rivani, which is now 100% occupied. The immersive restaurant, named to provide guests a place to create their own enchanted fairytale, is set to redefine the hospitality industry.
“Fabel is the pinnacle and final piece of our vision to transform Wynwood Jungle into the hottest immersive destination in the area,” said Robert Rivani, president of Black Lion. “The vibe is magical and we are proud to have brought in world-class brands and experiences to the area.”
The 254-seat venue is set across 10,000 square feet of a secured open-air, covered rooftop. From custom handmade furniture, lighting, and plateware, to a custom fragrance made to remind us of our childhood, Fabel is a designer's dream through and through. The details extend to the custom uniforms designed in partnership with Caravana - the Tulum-based fashion house found at Scorpios in Mykonos, St. Tropez, Ibiza, Tulum, and Bodrum. Covered patio seating and three levels of terrace seating surround the central DJ booth with private cabanas framing the venue. The restaurant will also include a 22-seat travertine stone U-bar and stepped seating around the DJ booth. Fabel will blend high-energy dining with the sophistication of high-touch service to create the ideal evening destination.
"We are thrilled to be launching Fabel in Miami and in the heart of one of the most progressive neighborhoods in the country," said Matthew Rosenberg, owner of Fabel Miami and Principal of M-Rad. "Fabel is a destination where we encourage our guests to experience world-class service and cuisine, while simultaneously exploring all five senses across every touchpoint of the restaurant."
The Mediterranean-rooted menu takes cues from the team's travels around the globe while Executive Chef Ian Fleischmann presents the dishes in a provocative and engaging way. Guests will indulge in signature dips of Fabel Hummus, Muhammara, and Aroa’s Labneh with Aleppo Chili Crisp. Shared plates like the 45-Day Dry Aged Porterhouse with Adjika and Iranian Oregano, Whole Roasted Heritage Chicken with Taouk Spice, and Salt Crusted Dorade with Kaffir Lime and Lemongrass seduce guests to interact both with the dishes and each other. While the night is sure to keep going after dessert, it’s a must to conclude the dining portion of the evening, The Guanaja Chocolate Custard brings together saffron, olive oil, and vanilla crème fraiche in a way that keeps you digging for more while the Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookie melts in your mouth - make sure you pair it with Fabel’s own Ras el Hanout Ice cream! The anticipated restaurant will also include a top-tier beverage and wine program curated by Master Sommelier, Christopher Miller, boasting some of the rarest and most premium wines and unique twists on the most classic spirits.
Black Lion’s Robert Rivani acquired Wynwood Jungle in 2021 and has invested millions of dollars to breathe new life into the property with improvements including artificial florals, a brand new roofdeck and imaginative artwork on the façade, to transform the once struggling center into one of the most iconic and unique immersive retail and dining experiences in South Florida, with tenants including The Salty Donut, Osme, OhRaw, 3 Social, Edite Mode, and a soon to be announced 7,000-square-foot Restaurant and Bar.
Fabel Miami will open for dinner service Wednesday through Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. and going until the last dance ends. Fabel is located on the second floor of Wynwood Jungle at 50 NW 24 St., Miami, FL 33127.

New York-Based Hospitality Concepts Add a New Level of Sophistication to Wynwood’s Culinary Scene
Designed in collaboration with globally-renowned partners DesignAgency and Arquitectonica, the nine-story building offers 329 turnkey homes. Layouts range from studios to two bedrooms, each featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. All units will come fully furnished, with packages thoughtfully curated by DesignAgency.
As the Wynwood Arts District continues to evolve into a vibrant enclave marked by world-class restaurants, stylish cocktail bars and eclectic cafes, some of the most notable names in New York City hospitality are now making a play for the neighborhood.
Offering a diverse mix of dining options, designer boutiques and a thriving arts scene, including more than 70 art galleries, Wynwood inspired many Silicon Valley companies such as Founders Fund and Atomic to relocate in recent years. New restaurant and hospitality concepts — several with New York origins — soon followed, adding to Wynwood’s dining and nightlife.
“Wynwood is swiftly becoming the SoHo of South Florida,” said Nick Pérez, Senior Vice President for Related Group, the developer behind the forthcoming NoMad Residences Wynwood and the single most active developer in the neighborhood. “The culinary transformation is pretty incredible, especially when you consider that seven of the restaurants listed in Miami’s Michelin guide are located in Wynwood, alongside many five-star restaurants. The impact that’s having on the neighborhood’s appeal cannot be understated.”
Among the many world-class culinary offerings now calling Wynwood home is Pastis, which will open its doors at New York-based developer Tricap’s 380 Northwest 26th Street in 2023. Driven by two James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs, Keith McNally and Stephen Starr, the Wynwood restaurant signifies Pastis’ first South Florida location, and will feature the classic bistro fare for which the Manhattan institution is known.
Other New York transplants include the Brooklyn import, Freehold, a unique hospitality concept that offers a hotel-like experience without hotel rooms. Encompassing more than 10,000 square feet, Freehold Miami includes a cafe, two bars, a coffee shop and ample co-working space. Wynwood residents can now also snag a slice of New York-style pizza, thanks to the arrival of Shelter, a popular Brooklyn shop, along with iconic eateries Joe’s Pizza and Prince Street Pizza.
The most highly anticipated New York arrival is the NoMad Residences Wynwood, the first hospitality-infused residential concept from global hospitality icon, NoMad Hotels. Developed by Related Group in partnership with Tricap and co-created with the acclaimed hospitality firm Sydell Group, NoMad Residences Wynwood will soon set the standard for the area’s food and beverage experiences.
“Similar to how NoMad New York is credited for transforming Manhattan’s North of Madison enclave into one of the city’s most in-demand neighborhoods, we feel strongly that the NoMad Residences Wynwood will contribute to Wynwood’s explosive growth, leading it to become a top destination within Miami,” said Pérez.
At the heart of this promise is the property’s best-in-class food and beverage offerings, which will be open to the public and include a signature rooftop restaurant and mixology bar concept, The NoMad Bar. The restaurant will be helmed by James Beard Award Winner Leo Robitschek, Vice President, Food & Beverage at Sydell Group and the former Bar Director for New York City’s three-Michelin Star restaurant Eleven Madison Park. On NoMad Wynwood’s ground floor, residents and the community can enjoy a Casa Tua Cucina, an expansive open-kitchen concept offering simple, yet expertly crafted Italian and Mediterranean fare.
The popularity of the NoMad brand has directly translated into robust sales activity at NoMad Residences Wynwood. Related reports having signed contracts on more than 50% of the building’s condominium homes, including a unit at roughly $2,000 per square foot, which shattered neighborhood price records.
“We know that buyers appreciate the luxury and exclusivity that comes with living in a hotel-branded residential property, especially one that is associated with an established flag such as NoMad,” adds Pérez. “We are confident that the NoMad Residences Wynwood will exceed their expectations for a hospitality-centric living experience.”
Uniquely developed with no rental restrictions, buyers will have the option to rent their homes to guests for any period of time. A skilled in-house property management team will efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes.
Adding to the hospitality-focused experience, residents and their guests can take advantage of a full-suite of resort-style amenities, including an expansive rooftop lounge with panoramic views of downtown Miami, a fully serviced pool and sun deck, private cabanas, and a state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor fitness lounge.
Additional on-site highlights include a card room and private dining room. For art enthusiasts, many of the walls throughout the building will feature museum-quality works from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection, with sections of the building commissioned to artists in ode to Wynwood.
